So the end of the club fire sale of half the team has proved to be untrue but at least we have staff not paid on the same day.....Would be nice to have one day off.

One of the security staff I know has often been paid a day late in the last few months. His December pay was two days late and paid on January 1st.

Chill out people, we have a vital month on the pitch to worry about.....Thats the bit where fans really can make a difference.

I speculated some time ago if PG Site Services owners could be in the running to be our new owners. This just throws abit more fuel on that fire.

This is ****ing mental.

Why has the shirt sponsor got so much to say about this!
Two reasons from what I’ve been told,

PG Services have been promised the contract for the plant Hire for the new development

And secondly Tom, our CEO works for PG Services in a Non-Executive Director capacity.

I’ll leave it up to you guys to work out why PG Services have so much to say on this.

Don’t get me wrong, they have been a great sponsor and have helped the club out massively, but a few months ago the PG director was on twitter fuming with the club and withdrawing their sponsorship.

Next thing you know they believe what the club are saying and lending them money.

As I said, I’ll let you guys put 2 and 2 together.

In your opinion.

In my opinion on the pitch matters are secondary and by a long long distance. We have a vital month off the pitch to worry about more.

I'm sure the majority of staff who are now 2 months without pay, would agree?...2 months without pay would cripple me and I imagine most on here.

I'm sure the players/management are also super chirpy at the last two pay packets arriving late as well. Just the sort of thing needed in the background to get a team bang up for a playoff charge.

It was standing room only in Court 1, I stood by Ron in the doorway and thought he looked well (considering the rumours concerning his poor health). I was in no mood for pleasantries this time round. I assumed he was with his wife but suspect it was in fact Anna Firth (?). There were also a few other club representatives scattered about.

The ‘prosecution’ asked for us to be wound-up bearing in mind the size of the debt and previous adjournments.

Our ‘defence’ started off with the excuse that our cash flow was affected by Covid (flaky to say the least). Some late documentation concerning a finance deal had been provided only that morning, but the judge had not seen it and the ‘prosecution’ had not had time to read it (last minute Joe’s again). A sum of £5m was mentioned (and the name of the company providing it) but I think the pivotal thing in our favour was that two local MP’s were in attendance (the aforementioned Firth) and the Rochford one. They, along with Southend Council, had declared how important we, and subsequent projects, were to the community. This seemed to sway the judge.

The ‘prosecution’ guy quite rightly contested an adjournment saying that SUFC had ‘a history of non-compliance’, but we were granted until the 1st March to pay in full, and that was FINAL.

I’m sure I’ll remember a couple more facts later.

I didn’t come out of that building pleased, nor relieved. More embarrassed.

Only just seen this thread. It’s good that you were there, there’s more information in your thread then Ron has put out so far.

Having read your thread and also having had experience of dealing with such judges I’m surprised we got it adjourned, can’t believe that the judge adjourned it on the basis that two local MP’s pitched up so there must have been something concrete to work with.

I also only found out the other day that this thing on 1st March is FINAL. That for me is the worrying thing. If the judge calls it in and we can’t put up a decent case to carry on under administration (if the rules allow and the prosecution agree) we are f..king done for 😢.

What a complete cluster f..k

How anyone can be optimistic or still hopeful is beyond me. We're looking done
In fairness to them, they have probably been supplied with more information than we have. That's not to say what they have been told/shown will prove to be accurate...

On a different note, it's a pretty sorry state of affairs when we're getting more information and dialogue from the main sponsor than we are from the club.

just a rumour I heard, but the training ground will be ready to use this week or next. Would this then release funds with boots and laces being vacant?
I'd be surprised but I'm no expert on how quickly grass grows. However the White Horse chap did tell me that their contact extended to 2 months after the pitches were finished to tend to the grass and cut it to get the root systems going and the grass forming a sward. When I went last week it did seem to have white markers that looked pitch size though the pitches don't have lines. The official handover must be soon. I would however be surprised but happily so if they are ready. Would have thought another month at least. By the way the White Horse chap was very complementary about Ron when I said I'd waited for signs of the project starting for 20years. He also said that White Horse would be doing the FF pitch.

Perhaps we can have a poll about which number between 5 and 9 they will come up with :-)

I think that PG services may be getting a small slice of the cake. If Ron takes the loan from them.
Just a thought, maybe what’s going to happen!

I doubt a small pony digger company has millions at there disposal to lend. Think someone may have been on the beer's again.

Presumably if we don’t hear today that the players and football department staff have been paid, we’ll be getting a 12 point deduction?

Mods maybe an idea to merge the supporters groups thread with this one now as we have having duel chats, maybe @Smiffy could get off his arse and do something, he’s not hero tier mod like that sexy @GBJ
