With what appear to be encouraging rumours coming out, I think we can turn our attention to the club statement on the matter. Here are my 10 predictions...

1. It will be late.
2. It will be written by RM, regardless of whose name is against it.
3. It will mention COVID, as if it was an epidemic affecting only south-east Essex.
4. It will mention successive relegations, as if these happen by chance and we were just unfortunate.
5. There will be a general patronising undercurrent throughout, as if none of us understand how difficult it all is, and everything would be much more straightforward if we just trusted him and stopped asking awkward questions.
6. It will state how much he cares for the club, more so than any of us do.
7. It will state how much money he has put in to the club to keep it afloat, and if he hadn't we wouldn't even now have a club.
8. He will refer to late payment of wages as 'regrettable'.
9. Right near the end there will be something almost alluding to an apology, but not quite.
10. As a parting shot, and just when you think he may have learnt his lesson, he will try and lay the blame elsewhere.

I reckon I'm good for 8 of the above - will check back in once it arrives.

I think it will be something more enigmatic - like the Pink Panther glove

21. Let’s just say there Maher-be a great future ahead.

22. My main aim is make the club "self funded" in future and give the club 365 days of income rather than 20 odd. (Let's ignore the fact he is putting very little effort it to make this happen and just keeps adding more "homes" to the site/s!) / How unsustainable it is to stay at RH (because I've let it crumble to nigh on disrepair - apparently!)

The fact no statement yet is outrageous.
I think I would rather not read another of his statements. He should be making a proper apology for the late wages, thanking the staff for their loyalty and taking responsibility for the mess we are in, without blaming everyone else. He should admit that he is no longer able to fund the club and is talking to, or is willing to talk to, potential investors to make sure we do not get in this situation again. I don't really want to hear anything else from him.

He hasn’t brought up Peter Clarke for a while

It sounds good on the surface that they may get their owed salaries with a bonus but it isn't always rosy. Players and staff may not want a lump some with a bonus attached as they'll get taxed hugely. The tax office think you're earning more than you actually are.

It happened to me in January. I got an amount up front that is normally spread out over the year, attached to each months salary and I lost almost half of it as a result of it being a lump sum. Sufficed to say, it wasn't in my control as I would have preferred it split over the commencing months. I'm sure the players and staff will feel the same. Yes I know, their owed wage with some heavy tax deductions is better than no pay at all, but it does make you wince when you think you're quids in but you end up getting stung. You end up taking home less with the bonus and seeing as they've waited so long, will hardly feel like it's been worth the wait.
None of know the size of the bonus but I really can’t see this scenario happening and if it did the player simply phone up HMRC and explain and they put it right. This is not a concept they don’t understand.I can’t see any player complaining that they have been paid in full and have received a bonus they were not necessarily expecting.

Last time the trust has an idea was being adjourned. Thins time seems Ron hasn’t even given them a clue

There's not going to be a statement.
I tend to agree.

So far as Ron's concerned the statement would only need to say something like "What I said was going to happen has happened." so he may not bother.

This might change if someone gives him a nudge to say that tickets sales for the Barnet game are sluggish because there's still some doubt amongst fans as to whether the game will actually go ahead.
