Steady!
Seriously I don’t know of a single Us fan that wants to see SUFC go bust.
A fair few might not object to spending an extra season in the NL though (just to give you the the record of spending longer in non-league that we did)
I just hope you get rid of the cancer at the top of your club so you guys can recover and ultimately thrive.
Thanks that’s appreciated and would be the same from me if things were the other way around. At the end of the day, what good is a rivalry if you can’t play each other?

Far enough in advance for the papers to be submitted to the court for perusal before. I believe he can request to be put in administration, rather than unilaterally do it, due to the existence of the WUP.
I must admit I hadn't considered it a possibility until listening to the recording of the latest meeting.

There are some interesting parallels with Bolton Wanderers who were put into administration at the request of one of their creditors (not HMRC, although they were also facing an HMRC winding up petition).

I wonder if it's worth reaching out to their fans' groups or local journalists to understand it a bit better?

I can't see that Ron will want to do this at all as it will mean giving up control, but it may help the club survive which will allow him to pursue the rest of the development unhindered.

We'd get an automatic 10-point deduction from the National League which will probably (but not definitely) halt our play-off bid this year, but given the alternative of not completing the season I guess it's the least worst scenario.

Wrong, 12 points, plus if we don’t pay off any debts by end of 23/24 season, they would boot us out of NL to Ryman League.

Before you go around accusing people of being "wrong" you might want to check your facts @Murkey_Mouse - that's what I took the trouble to do before posting.

You can look at the Vanarama league rules for the 22/23 season here https://s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/files.pitchero.com/leagues/12323_1673356786.pdf

or to save you the trouble, I think this is the relevant paragraph

(You're welcome!)

I'll wait for the full apology....

Humour me here as I’m not the brightest on these matters, but what does happen to the gate money? Let’s say we average around 5700 per home game, with roughly 3000 season ticket holders? That’s around 2500 ‘home’ paying customers at say an average price (allowing for concessions) of £15 each. That’s not far off £40k per home game. I know that’s a drop in the ocean, but with Stan saying there’s no money for anything, where does that £40k go? No one is being paid, certainly not the tax man? Is it going towards existing loans? It’s going somewhere so I just wondered where?

I am wondering if he is 'saving up' to pay for the administration, if he has to go down that route. Administations are expensive.

I wish I could download this thread as a pdf and read all the comments in one list lol. Anyway what’s the latest ? Are we in better position than two weeks ago ?

I am pretty sure the NL have a very tough stance on administration and kick teams out the league for going in to this. Maybe I have it slightly wrong and if you are in admin at the start of the season you cant start but they definitely have a much tougher stance than the EFL.

MP Anna Firth gave some hope with Ron paying, but ultimately said HMRC aren't here to **** about and want their money, with limited room to negotiate.

She suggested 3 outcomes: 1) Ron pays in full, 2) Ron pays half and extends the time to get the money, 3) we go into administration.

In other news, some people say one thing, Ron then emails CJP and denies it... So players might be leaving soon, but they might not.

No sign of any documentary yet...

Protester group want to protest on Saturday, starting at Ron's house...

That sums it all up I think.

Thank you for the summary enjoy the like.

Full planning permission is unfortunately not granted at FF, not that will allow work to begin anyway. There's a few more hoops to jump through yet. It may even be a contributing factor in the hold up of bridging finance.

Unfortunately like a lot of things at the club, we aren't fed enough accurate and detailed information regularly to alleviate rumours/false info from being spread.

Transparency is one of the biggest things lacking at the club and has to change, fast.
My understanding is that planning permission has been granted, however, there are now clauses that need to be met to deliver on the section 106 agreements around the infrastructure of the development. Some of which will likely require the club to make payments to the council for.
