Because it couldn't be. Ron didn't make a deal with the judge. It might be that agreement had been reached with PG SS that they would support an adjournment, but that doesn't mean it was confirmed. It wasn't confirmed until the judge said so.

What you don’t think conversations are had before? How else would my source be so confident we was getting a further 42 days

Not with the judge, no. Maybe your source assumed that because PG SS were supporting an adjournment it was a done deal.

You should really be asking that question to your source, I can only speculate as to why they said what they did when it wasn't 100% confirmed.

so all that guff the judge gave last time that everyone HAD to be paid by the 12th was just BS?
And probably more importantly, was what the NL had put in place for us. Pay it all by 12th or face sanctions.

Be interesting to know more about what was said specifically to the Shrimpers Trust @Fitz or @OldBlueLady around consequences of the hearing today? Was a bit vague what was released in the statement - but did they give actual detail of any possible punishments in person?

I don't hope that at all. He has a job to do. Has been paid and we will need the 3 amigos to drag us out of this mess, if and when a sale goes through.
He’s not being given the adequate tools to do that job

What debt has gone from 900k to 300k as its reported RM said. Arrears are way off that scale so what is ‘debt’ as he defined it ? Debt to HMRC ?

It was up to the judge, your mate might of said they are going to ask for a 42 day adjournment but that wasn't necessarily going to be the outcome.

Good job Ron knew who the judge would be then

The petition debt was said to stand around £900k after adding on the PG Site Services debt, the nPower debt, and one other unknown one. He's agreed a payment plan with nPower and another petitioner, and PG are confident a sale will happen so have agreed to support an adjournment. So the dispute for the petition at the moment is essentially just HMRC's £275k.

Hastily taken notes from court just now:

Judge stated 275k unpaid, been no payment.
HMRC stated that supposedly two witness statements were received yesterday, but claim only received one.

Ron seeking 42 day adjournment to complete sale or funding.
Ron representing himself.

Supporting creditors including npower now agreed and signed payment plan.
PG Site Services agreed to support adjournment and PG Site Services representative in court said they are confident the 42 days will be sufficient.

Ron claims debt has gone from 900k to 300k since initial hearing, confident of arranging funds.

Adjournment requested by Ron is to allow new owners to submit and pass the owners and directors test with FA which can take time.

“Think we’ll complete sale by then but definitely complete the funding” — Ron

HMRC says timescale is speculative and depends on third party outside of control of the company.

Judge stated it had been made clear to the court that even if the sale doesn’t go through that 42 days will be sufficient to raise funds.

No mention at all of a final warning so I imagine Ron will think he can play these cards again in 42 days and get away with it.
Ron exited very quickly with fans confronting him asking him why he’s killing the club.

Tom said he’s selling it for a pound.

Someone mentioned Ron said they will release a statement at 5pm tonight.
Hope whoever buys it gives him an old £1 for the club so that he can't even spend it

All eyes on The NL now. They sure as hell wont be following the judge.

31st July at best.
I'm half an hour behind playing catchup so this may have been covered but surely even the 31st is too late. A bunch of the players can walk, the ones who are left can't train without medical staff, the training pitches don't have any water, can we even fulfill a friendly at this stage.

Even for Ron Martin he is utterly delusional if he thinks this is sustainable even for a few weeks.
