I think everyone needs to chill out a little and wait to see what happens tomorrow. There's nothing we can do at this stage, we all know f**k all about what has and hasn't happened behind the scene so it seems a bit pointless speculating. In 24 hours time we should know much more.

I find it somewhat strange that for the first time in 42 years of having been going to Roots hall, i have purchased a season ticket, and yet 11days before the new season starts i have had no correspondence from the club regarding this issue, and have still not received my season ticket!. Poor public relations or what?. Or do they know something i dont?.

The thing that really got me recently on here, was the thread - where someone actually thought it was acceptable to Play the kit man - and didn't think it was the end of the world, if we signed on a pro contract, i mean **** me - but what a ****ing ****...

But you sound like you want the Club to fail. I would imagine most people on here want it to succeed.

Regardless of what anyone on here thinks, Ron owns the Club and he is entitled to run it how he wants to. Anyone who isnt happy is entitled to make him an offer for it.

Steveo - I usually agree with you, however on this, i do not. He has customers money, so he cannot run it how he wants*. He has to be mindful of the "business" he is in.

Thing is though J, if income isnt greater than expense, he is cant go on forever and surely there will come a point where he has to let it go.

Obviously we dont know all the finer details but it does appear on the surface that he doesnt operate in a wasteful or extravagant way.

Maybe trying to keep up with other teams wage wise has taken its toll, given the money he has available and you cant blame a bloke for not having enough money.

It's not just the lack of signings - it's the complete and utter tosh he spews, and the mis management. I spoke to a Director of the club the other day, and Smiffy can confirm this, when i cracked a couple of Jokes etc and posed a few questions, the said director was remarkebly uncomfortable, and indeed shared his concerns as well.

If Ron Martin, just stopped bullshitting for one moment, he have not lost the amount of respect he once had among the people of the club, and this board - He has said time and time again "there will be 1 signing by the end of this week" "We are going to sign 3 players etc etc".. Heck he even comes on the pitch saying "I am giving Tilson a war chest" .. and the next minute, Tilly is on the Radio saying he is frustrated about the lack of funds.. the true hero, and saviour of this club is actually Tilson himself.. as he has performed miracles, with near enough nothing - the problem is, how much longer can tilly take it. Ron has only been seen to be successful here, and for 1 reason only, Tilly. He landed on his feet the day Tilson took the manager's position.

do we really think the club would be out playing a game tonight if this was really likely to be happening tomorrow? It's inconceivable that tilly would be out there, grafting and trying to assess triallists if he knew we were about to go to the wall. It's also inconceivable that he would know nothing about this if it were the case.

you need to stop playing down the situation and trying to talk yourself around ! The club is in a serious mess !
