I know the meaning of the word thanks.I thought the whole idea of the Leave campaign was to take back all these powers?

Good luck with that. The UK will pay a high price for it.

You think the UK will pay a high price. It's your opinion nothing more. Please stop being do arrogant and passing your opinions off as fact. Thanks

Hahahahahahah! Some great quotes coing out today, this is hilarious and unbelievable!

Former PM David Cameron says the UK was always uncertain over the EU push for greater integration. He also admits he never liked the European Parliament - or the EU flag.

"I think it is worth understanding that Britain always was uncertain, in fact, opposed to the idea of a deeper and more integrated political union.

"You know, we looked at the European flag and we thought 'Well, we don't really like the European flag, we've got our own flag.'

"We looked at the European Parliament and we didn't really like the European Parliament, we've got our own parliament, which we are very proud of.

"And look, I led the campaign to stay in and I didn't like the European flag and the European Parliament. We were always uncertain about that political union element."

...........and this was the privileged t**d at the forefront of the remain campaign!............little wonder, remain lost.

...........and this was the privileged t**d at the forefront of the remain campaign!............little wonder, remain lost.

And let's not forget that despite being the leader of the remain campaign, he was the same man who declared loudly & proudly, that The UK doesn't need The EU, and would be fine on our own.

Youre right, it's little wonder remain lost. There are so many laughable factors behind it. It was THEIRS to lose, and they pulled out all of the stops, to do so

problem (one of the...) Leave / Remain split in the country is that most people don't feel they were / are represented by the designated politicians. The chances of Leavers being happy to have Gove, Farage, Benn, Galloway, Johnson on their team is unlikely - most Leavers would not want to align themselves with all of those, some, but not all. And likewise - as someone who voted Remain I will rot in Hell before I would say that Cameron or Osborne represented me. Whichever way you voted you don't have to defend the £350m p/w for the NHS or the WW3 lies - but its surprising how many people feel they do need to defend the lies that went into the campaigns.

I saw that Farage guy on the TV today. He was sitting outside of a pub talking about politics, which was a bit odd as all of the other politicians seemed to be in Parliament talking about politics but he didn't seem to be allowed in for some reason. Seemed a shame, I wondered if he was lonely and he was drinking in the day which quite often lonely people do when they feel left out. I hope he is alright though. Just seemed a shame is all.

Must make you proud to be a Shrimper. At least 60% of us could see through Cameron and realised, just like Toney Blair, he was thinking of his big pay day after his career in politics rather than what's good for the average Brit.

Shame some of you couldn't see it but as I say your lucky that Britain has always had and always will have, people who see the bigger picture and are prepared to do what's best for not just their country but others as well.

what makes you think Yogi couldn't see through Cameron? Plenty of people voted Remain despite Cameron being involved and in the same way plenty of people voted Leave despite Farage being involved.
If you want to pin Cameron's crimes on Yogi that only works if he advocated the Tories at the GE not Remain in the referendum.

I'd agree that's one of the reasons that remain lost. But let's not pretend there aren't plenty more reasons aswell

Indeed, I hated Cameron with a passion well before Brexit..........these kind of comments just confirm my loathing.

Well, there's a Freudian slip if ever there was one. You completely fail to mention Corduroy. Is that because he doesn't represent you, or that he does represent you, but wasn't prominent in the remain campaign?

you seem to be looking for something that is not there, in a list of extreme characters who may put people off of voting a certain way in the referendum he doesn't get a mention because he is not obnoxious in the way some people find Galloway or Farage and he didn't lie in the way Osborne/Cameron and Fox/Johnson/Gove did.

It was the Tories that brought forward the Referendum and it was the Tories who lie throughout the Referendum. I know you have a mantra that you like to stick with but you need to look at the bigger picture on this one.

And you spelt his name wrong again - maybe check your autocorrect settings.

totally agree there were thousands of reasons to vote one way or the other but it's so disappointing that such a crucial moment in our history is tarnished with so many lies and false information

But you were talking about who people align themselves with. You left Corduroy out.

Theresa May has said she can't guarantee security cooperation with the EU without a trade deal.

Has she forgotten about the terrorist attack outside of Parliament already?

Is she genuinely threatening to withhold information that will save lives?

In case there was any doubt that her words were misrepresented (my initial thought and hope) Amber Rudd then backed up this position saying 'we would take our (security) information with us'.

This is what we have representing us.

So what was he doing campaigning (barely) for remain if he had spent the last 40 years suggesting we get out.

Like a lot of out of touch Politicians and their supporters he jumped on the remain bus because he thought it suited him politically. That makes JC not just a liar but totally untrustworthy. You can post all you like about the horrible Tories but Labour have no chance whilst he is their leader.

when the date was set some people such as Corbyn and Johnson changed track and gave their reasons at that point (Johnson's lying came later) and others like May waited until after the referendum to change track. Personally I don't have an issue with that as long as they explain their reasons truthfully
