Why would this have any impact on the NHS?

Were we staying in the EU and TTIP came into fruition then of course you could be right:winking:

The £350million promised on the side of the Brexit Battlebus. Supposedly, this was going to be from EU contributions we were going to save. If, according to the article, we could be paying into the EU until 2030.................

I think I'm with you now....what you're saying is that no savings from our EU budget can be passed onto the NHS as a Getman finance minister thinks that we could give any savings to the EU instead.

Is that correct?

This was £350m per week we would save accordinging to many leavers. If my maths is good, if we gave every UK citizen a cut of the savings per week everyone of us would get £5.8m every seven days.

And there's me thinking this skills shortage amongst British workers is just a myth.

In his meeting with Guy Verhofstadt today, ".....Mr Davis apparently told MEPs that the Government is committed to staying in the single market...."

This concerns me a great deal. If this is the really the Government'a aim then we may as well not sodding bother.

You think a pro-business Tory government wants to turn it's back on a huge market? I'm sure if they had a free vote, the vast majority of MPs would vote against Brexit.

But they didn't thank heavens. We, the great unwashed know nothing peasants of the land, we did. And now they, those that supposedly serve US, not themselves, have to do what we voted for. One of the very rare occasions this will ever happen in my lifetime.

Who knows? You might even live long enough to regret it.

Be careful of what you wish for.

All you've voted for is to leave the EU, the actual terms of us leaving is all up to the government, do you really think the Tories are going to negotiate terms that benefit you more than them? They're already panicking with a projection of 50 something billion extra borrowing projected because of Brexit, when it comes to picking the losers in the terms of our exit they're going to prioritise the same groups they always have.

How is the Brexit vote any different from GE votes in that any manifesto is a wish list of ideas that rarely become reality and only have loose general application into policy?

I wished for a Brexit for a multitude of different reasons and I got my wish. regardless of the hardships ahead and the money it's supposedly going to cost it's a small price to pay to be shot of the whole corrupt unelected and undemocratic thing so guess what, I think I'll get what i wished for thanks. And don't you worry. I've a sneaky feeling I'll be around far longer than you think.

"Hard" Brexit or "soft" Brexit though? It would appear that "spreadsheet Phil" is in favour of the later.

The only thing I'm pleased about in this whole sorry mess, is that it won't affect me or my immediate family adversly, in any way.

It will, however, have a negative impact on future generations of Britons

Spoken like a true socialist!

Thank you. I want Brexit for many reasons AND also know that it will cost in the short to medium time frame.
IF the EU had shown true desire and willingness to change and cut costs, corruption, nepotism, social experimentation as well as stopping interference in domestic national policy I would have voted remain but.....
