Shame, but it was time I guess, he paid his dues in a Blues shirt. Wish him nothing but the best of luck, definitely been one of my favourite players over the last few years, (being the only 1 I recognised for a while helped!).

Good luck to AG .. Truth is this is not to do with wages if it was down to that he would have gone 2 years ago but he actually showed loyalty when it was needed This is down to ambition where would you like to go and test yourself next season Coventry and Sheffield or ( no disrespect ) Dagenham and Accrington The real shame is we should have given AG the chance with us by finishing the job off last season and not getting involved with the lottery which is and always will be the playoffs

Gutted, it was obvious he was off but just sad when it's happened. Gonna be a tough act to follow whoever steps in

Not really shocked or suprised if truthful. Lets be honest it has been on the cards for the last season.
If anything we will miss his ability to be awarded free kicks and wish him all the best

Agree with this.

Hugely disappointed but I wish him well, he's shown us great loyalty in the past and I'm sure if we'd gone up he'd have re-signed with us without a doubt.

Thanks and good luck Granty.

Gutted but not surprised that Grant's left. He's been part of the backbone of our team since he joined and will be hard to replace in my opinion. He showed loyalty to the club when everyone else jumped ship and for that I think we should always be grateful. Great tackler, good character and the best player at winning free-kicks I've ever seen. Some have criticised his goal record but that's because he's been mostly used as a defensive midfielder. Sturrock employed him in a more attacking role at times and he scored quite a few in the 2010/2011 season. Bit inconsistent yes, went through good spells and mediocre spells but which player at this level doesn't. On his day he had the ability to dominate the midfield and take a game by the scruff of the neck. Wish him all the best at Stevenage. Some official news from the club would be nice soon! Seems like the whole club's been on holiday ever since the final whistle against Crewe.

Yeah but for what you are getting that price there is MUCH MUCH better!

Hope your right i think he will be hard to replace. Remember that even if we can pay that money to someone else, will they come and play here in the bottom league? If they are any good, like Granty they will want to play at the highest level possible

Grants wages are high due to being in league 1 when he signed also from loyalty increases I suspect! - time for new blood in the center!
