I would love to see a Haye v Joshua fight as it would be speed against power and would love to see if it is the same outcome as the Khan fight with power winning.

Although i think the thing with Khan is bull**** we have had a similar thing with people like Lennox Lewis who represented Canada and then become British but i know that is slightly different because he was born over here and went to school over here until he was twelve.

You poo pooed your whole argument there. Lennox Lewis cannot be compared to the Amir Khan situation, he was born in England, moved to Canada and went to school in Canada he also boxed there as an amateur so he has every right to represent them in the Olympics. He also isn't trying to box in another Olympics for a different country.

Have people forgotten the Masternak or Cleverly fights? I grant he had a decent finish to win last weekend, but Bellew is still awful. Haye absolutely pummels him, and it ain't even close. It'd be more one-sided than the Stevenson fight was.

Thankfully though, I can't see it happening. Bellew should concentrate on getting knocked out by the likes of Lebedev, (who'd be a much more interesting fight), than some meaningless, fake "bad-blood", fight, which only serves to line his pockets.

I blame that slippery, degenerate **** Hearn for it though. He's forever trying to engineer these all-British "grudge-matches", "bad-blood matches", "the feud-to-end-all-feuds, matches". Anyone with half a drop of common sense, can see right through it. It's actually insulting, watching Hearn try & feed the public a **** sandwich, whilst calling it caviar.

Anyway, The stumbling block will be, Bellew won't gain weight, and Haye won't shed weight.

The Olympic thing is borderline criminal. There is a genuine chance someone could get badly hurt. You can't have an amateur, going in with the likes of Wlad (who I recall said he would be interested)

I see Ali is on life support ATM. Always a shame to see a legendary, strong character, at their weakest.

A highly decorated figure who was as sublime, as he was highly controversial. His excellence in a boxing ring, constantly stained by his political/religious/racial ideaologies. That aside, some of the stories I've heard & read, regarding the man, are inspiring. A real polarising showman Infront of the cameras, but seemingly a truly respectful, peaceful, gentleman in his later years.

I don't fall into the category that believed he was the best of all time. He was certainly up there though, alongside The pioneers like Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis & Harry Greb. This sport is no different to others, in the respect that 'legend' is a term used all-to-frequently. it's a highly worn-out cliche. But Ali certainly deserves that accolade.

Boxing isn't like any other sport in the world. You play Football. You play Rugby. You don't play Boxing. Your life is on the line every time you step in that squared circle. We, as fans, regard these men as some of the toughest around. The elite fighters, like Ali, we regard as almost unstoppable, superhumans. And as a result, it's hard to think of them as normal people who appear weak & suffer with crippling ailments & diseases.

Box on Cass, box on.

The man is truly a LEGEND, & I don't believe any boxer will ever come close to being the influential, mold changing and epoch defining man that Ali is....................Simply; The Greatest.

The legend has passed! Such a great shame but we have known it was coming for a long time now.

RIP Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali, possibly the greatest boxer of all time.

I think Bellew was only just over a stone off of Haye's last fight weight (16 stone 3?) so I can't see the weight being an issue. By all accounts both sides are talking (as per Bellew at the weekend) and lets face it, it'll be a PPV showing which is what Haye has been looking for since he came back (but was hoping for AJ) - I reckon he'll see Bellew as a much easier option but with a similar reward.

A real shame to see Enzo Maccarinelli get brutally knocked out last night, he has finally hung up his gloves now.

Witnessed an amazing bit of history this morning, got up to watch Vasyl Lomachenko fight Rocky Martinez to see what all the fuss was about. What a fight and what a fighter he has become a two weight world champ after only his 7th pro fight. He had over 400 amateur fights and only lost 2. This guy is something special and if you get a chance to see any of his fights have a watch his movement is outstanding!

I see Rigo has agreed to the Dickens fight again let's hope he goes through with it this time as its in Cardiff and not too far from me I will be getting tickets and going to see this.

Lomachenko knock out of Martinez:

The eulogies at his funeral were very good, generally, and there were some very good boxing stories told; especially about the Atlanta Olympics.

I listen to all the top boxing podcasts and they have been littered with people close to Ali who had great stories. There are so many, the bloke was such a character!

I've got 2 tickets for sale, for the Joshua-Brezeale card at The O2, if anyone's interested? They're my tickets, unfortunately I can't make it anymore. Only asking for face value, £90 each. PM me, if interested

I'm gutted mate, I've got to work otherwise I would've snapped them both off you. Stick them on eBay and make yourself a tidy sum.

Well I'm gunna give it til Wednesday, and if they're not gone, I'll put them on Hearn's StubHub. I just wanted to give genuine boxing fans a chance first.

GGG vs Eubank Jr, thoughts?

Looks like its actually going to happen doesn't it? Massive fight. Although I would've preferred Eubank Jr to have a rematch with Billy Joe Saunders and/or fight Daniel Jacobs first but the Eubanks want this fight desperately and are confident of beating Golovkin. Im an Eubank Jr fan and would love to see him beat GGG but not entirely sure if he is ready or not? We shall see..

Ricey, looking forward to saturday night, cracking card aint it. Eubank jr, Conor Benn, Dillian Whyte, Groves/murray. What you making of these fights and how you seeing them going?

You never know with Eddie Hearn he talks a good game but doesn't always produce the goods. Eubank Jr isn't one of his prize possessions so he will take the risk as he knows it will earn him good money regardless. For me GGG knocks Eubank Jr out on a pretty one sided affair. Like you say I would much rather see a rematch with BJS or fight Jacobs, but when his Dad has the ego the size of a planet he will chase the ridiculous fights.

Saturday I'm working so I will miss it and to be honest the only fight I'm gutted to be missing is the Groves vs Murray fight. That is more of a headline fight than the Joshua fight. Some good talent on display but unfortunately the opposition for each one of them is poor and they are all just fights to protect Hearn's assets and make them look better than they actually are.

Dillian Whyte needs a warm up fight after coming back from injury.

Conor Benn is young and will be his 3rd fight so it's about getting experience from guys who get in the ring to lose.

Eubank Jr's opponent is on par with Nick Blackwell I would say this is probably the best of a bad bunch. But it will end with a win for Eubank.

Anthony Ogogo is on a comeback like Whyte so will end up fighting a bum.

As for the Joshua fight I can see it going to the 3rd round maximum. Yet another yank who talks a good talk but will no doubt roll over come the night.

As I stated at the start for me the Murray vs Groves fight is the big fight of this night. Both have had plenty of world title opportunities and failed. For them both this is a potential career destroying fight whoever loses is not likely to come back from it. I really can't call it, Groves has improved slightly under McGuigan but isn't on the level of DeGale. Murray put in a good showing against GGG and is a decent boxer. I'm going to go with Groves on points for this one as much as I'd like Murray to win I think Groves will just edge it.

Lols @ Eubank vs Golovkin. Can't see what real benefit this is to Eubank. He can't beat him. It'll put his name in (American) lights, but that's about it. I give him credit for wanting the fight, when so many don't, but there won't be any upsets here.

can't disagree with much of what Ricey has said. Saturday's card should be a by-the-numbers affair. Comfortable wins for all the "home" fighters.

The one that does intrigue me, is Groves - Murray, which should be fight of the night. I'm edging towards Murray on points, and Groves to be knocked down at least once. Murrays got a solid chin, and Groves isn't the fighter he was under Adam Booth. Would love to see Groves win by brutal KO, but I'm not confident

Eddie Hearn saying that it's pretty much a done deal for GGG vs Eubank Jr in Sept. He says that it will be a stadium fight as opposed to an arena fight. Question is does GGG have the pull to get the casuals buying tickets? It's a fight I would definitely like to see just for GGG.
