Wilder to fight Povetkin in Russia. I think this is the most exciting heavyweight division since the days of Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, etc.
Age, pace, average punch power, short size and slow feet will all be against Povetkin in this, WIlder won't mind it's in Russia, a half decent name at the right time on foreign soil to flatter Wilder's CV. I reckon Wilder will stop Povetkin, 6-8 after a slow and frustrating start. Hopefully he'll get through it to set up a decent match against Fury (assuming he get's through Klitschko again - which unless he has an amazing new game plan, I can't see him troubling Fury this time either - a far cry from my view pre-the first fight ay?)
I reckon Rigo has a more lucrative fight lined up, by all accounts he was on a flight to Miami before he could even have had his passport back, so we'll see. It's a shame as he's getting on too, 35 now, and it's likely Frampton will vacate rather than fight him, McGuigan citing lack of interest etc as their reason. It's difficult to see what exciting fights he can have unless he tries to move weights?
