Absolutely mental that! How are they allowed to get away with that? Because obviously StubHub have some sort of deal with the o2 to make sure they get hold of these tickets! Would you consider buying tickets at a higher price off StubHub? Or would you just not out of principal.

Well IIRC, it was discussed in parliament, or something like that a few years ago, but these companies kicked up a mad fuss & it all went away. It's bollocks, but there doesn't seem to be a way of stopping it. It reminds me of the FIFA scandal. We all knew What was going on there, but there wasn't anything that could be done, Until they dropped that fatal clanger & the FBI got involved.

I dont know if the O2 are directly linked with StubHub, But I know Hearn is. Matchroom are actually sponsored by them ffs!! Lol. I don't want to alledge anything, but it doesn't take a genius to work it out. Let's say it's all innocence & coincidence, I repeat what I said earlier, why would Hearn, a so-called-fan of the sport, actually align himself with a company which again & again is used as a tool to ripoff & mace the genuine fans? As touting is widely despised, especially by boxing heads, you'd have thought that those who hold a position of power (I.e. Hearn) should be doing everything they can to distance themselves away from these companies. Not get into bed with them.

Would I buy off of a tout? Possibly. But not for what they want. Not for this, anyway. I wouldn't pay a 3-figure sum for the upper tier of The O2. That'd be more out of principal TBH.

But, I make no secret about it, I have used a tout once, for Hatton-Mayweather. I understand the hypocrisy in that, but that doesn't make touting, either by individuals or companies, any more right.

When will they announce the under cards?

And getting back to boxing now rather than April who is going to win next weekend? Who is your money on? I want Quigg but I think Frampton will win on points.

There's one or two been announced already I Think? Matthew Macklin vs Brian Rose, and I've heard Eubank's name mentioned aswell. TBH though, as the main event is big enough on its own, there's no way Hearn will be spending big money on an undercard. He simply doesn't need to. So I wouldn't be expecting anything spectacular. Maybe a few of his stable in keep-busy fights.

I must be the only person who's genuinely not that bothered with next weeks fight. I don't know what it is, but it just hasn't caught my interest. Last Monday, I actually got offered a lower tier ticket, hotel & travel for £200. But I turned it down, as it was too short notice to really bother with.

Maybe because it's dragged on for so long, or maybe it's because neither are the best in the division & have tactically avoided the main man, Rigondeaux.

Anyway, I've thought Frampton would do it since day 1, so I'm sticking with him. I personally don't think it'll be a great spectacle. I'd imagine a bit of a tippy-tappy affair for most, with a few flashes of excitement. Frampton on points would be my prediction.

I've heard David Price's name mentioned as a possible undercard.

Surely the winner has got to be in line to fight Rigo?

Can't see Price being involved at all. The Sauerlands & Hearn have a good working relationship, but it wouldn't make sense for Hearn to deal with them & let their fighter compete on his bill. I can't even think of any HW fighters under Hearn's stable, that Price could be matched against on the night. I wouldn't rule anything out in boxing, but can't see this happening at all.

I'm pretty sure the IBF(?) have ordered the winner of this to face Rigo. Finally. He is the true king at SBW and whoever wins between Frampton & Quigg will be in for a real test. Those two are roughly the same in levels. Rigo is miles ahead

David Price vs Hughie Fury maybe? That would be a decent fight especially for Fury.

Have you heard anything on who Haye could be fighting?

Nah because again, Hughie isn't a Matchroom fighter. He's Hennessey, same as Tyson. For that fight to happen, Hearn would have to pay the Sauerland brothers & fat Mick half decent money. He just wouldn't do that, when he can use his own stable & throw together a weak undercard for pennies. For all his faults, I don't blame him on that front, it's just simple business sense.

Also, Sauerland won't want Price having anything to do with Fury. Hughie outboxes him & wins by clear UD. I really like Pricey (not so much as a fighter), he's a genuinely nice guy, who's great to talk to. And he's a giant. But on the boxing front, his defence is awful, he's chinny & his stamina is shocking. He'll never get above Euro level, if that high. Shame because as I said, he's a proper gent

Im not sure with Haye. There's no solid rumours or names going about either. Shannon Briggs could be a potential one though. That fight would be awful, (well, no different to the De Mori fight), but the build up would be exceptional, because Shannon Briggs is absolutely off his rocker.

Going back to the Joshua thing, I follow him on Facebook and was browsing. Have a look at his post he put up at 9.05am on Friday which says buy tickets to his next fight at StubHub UK!!

Yep the whole thing is scandalous. Again, I'm being bitter, but These tickets should have been offered to Fightpass members before anyone else.

I could be wrong here, but IIRC, there's about 17,000 FP members, and I think about 5000 tickets were offered to them, as priority. So there's a lot of people in my position, who have paid extra, only to be shafted.

What's the deal with a fight pass then? Other than this experience has it been worth it?

Lol no, not really. The priority tickets feature is the biggest draw.

Other than that though, you also get;
- streams of live events that aren't on tv. Which are not only, few & far between, they're also very low key events. In football terms, it'd be the equivalent of watching a Sunday pub team.

- Fight Night highlights. Excellent For those who haven't got YouTube.

- Ongoing Interviews/brainwashing with Hearn.

- Downloadable wallpaper. Which is great if you're a 13-year-old in 2001, showing off your phones new colour screen.

- A free T-shirt. Which I never got.

Not really worth it then.

What are your thoughts on Conor Benn? Is it just Big Nige talking him up or do you think he will have what it takes?

I haven't seen anything of him TBH. Those who have seen him, have a varied opinion of him. Some saying he looks wild, with no real class, & won't go far. But there are others who have said he looks ok, and could develop into a decent competitor. So I think it's a case of wait & see. It's like footballers, it's genuinely tough to tell how they'll develop. We know for the first 10 or so fights, he'll be in with nobodies, who he can dominate & build his reputation. In that time, We'll see how he gets on & if he's got any glaring problems, or he looks the real deal

I believe because of his name, he'll get the fans support though.

He's already got my support! I loved his Dad and will follow his like I do Eubank jr. Although I'm not a great fan of Eubank jr. Rumour has it Conor Benn might be signing with Hatton.

I could see Hatton as his trainer, but not a promoter. I know Ricky & Nigel are friends, who have got on well over the years, with Benn using Hatton's gym to train, so Would make sense to train Conor.

But, as much as I hate to say it, Hearn and his complete monopoly control of Sky, mean the only promotion I can see him going with Will be Matchroom. Hennessey & Warren simply aren't good enough these. Poor money, poor events, poor arenas & poor publicity, all lead to their downfall. I'd like to see more British fighters get a chance with Al Haymon, who's decent, but not many do.

Do you reckon Eddie will sign him up to fight on the Joshua undercard?

I hope so, would be good to see what he is like.

I've got it on good authority that He'll be thrown into a 4-rounder against a total novice, for the purpose of blitzing in one round. Nailed on. You won't learn anything from that. But thats the business model these days.

Seems to be working for Joshua, he's got himself a world title bout now.
