Seems to be working for Joshua, he's got himself a world title bout now.

Its genuinely crazy. Luck & tactical management have worked an absolute treat for him.

Like Scott Quigg though, even if he wins, he'll still only be a paper champion. Not the undisputed

David Haye has today claimed that he would KO Anthony Joshua in one round...Saying that a fight between them is likely to happen if Joshua wins the heavyweight title. But I agree that Joshua has bigger fish to fry at the moment.

If the fight happened this year (it won't), then Haye will be a clear favourite. Maybe not in the bookies eyes, but that's even better for me.

I'm far from being a Haye fan. I don't dislike him as much as I used to, but I'm still not a fan as such. But that doesn't stop me seeing clearly. He's head and shoulders above Joshua & is all
wrong for him. AJ has a lot more learning to do, before he entertains the idea of facing Haye. Of course though, that won't come into it when they're headlining Wembley next year, and Hearn has pound signs in his eyes

I don't understand why Haye seems to think if Joshua wins the world title he should get a shot. He's come back after 3 and a half years out beaten a bum. He needs to fight a few more people before he can even consider fighting Joshua. I'd put Derek Chisora ahead of Haye to fight Joshua especially if he wins his European bout.

Whilst I fully agree with the sentiment, it's just not how it works in boxing. As always, money talks. And if Hearn staged a bout between the two, at a football stadium (Wembley) it will make an unbelievable amount of money. It will easily exceed what Froch-Groves II did. Everyone involved, would be rubbing their hands together, in greedy glee. The mandatory challenger (whoever that may be at the time), would get a slice, the IBF get a slice, the fighters would be minted & and of course Hearn makes a bundle.

But let's not forget here, AJ is hardly deserving of a World Title tilt himself. He's faced no-one in the IBF top 10, yet somehow finds himself ranked highly. Even Charles Martin is incredibly lucky to even have the belt. He's only got it because his opponent Glazkov, done his knee & couldn't carry on. And even then, they were only competing for that title, because the IBF stripped Fury, in the most spurious way

I totally understand it and I see where you're coming from. It's all about the name and stock rather than ability. People who like to jump on the bandwagon love the big names like Haye. Because of his previous exploits they seem to think he is something special. Ranking don't really mean a lot as we found out when Haye fought De Mori who was ranked 10th by the WBA. Yet got absolutely devastated. There was a reason David Haye fought on Dave and that's because no one was really interested in him. Plus it gave the plastics a chance to see a fight for free. Which then brought back the hype of Haye and as usual you read the ***** on Haye's Facebook page and people are saying he should fight Fury. What all because he knocked out a nobody in the first round. Fury would destroy Haye he gave Klitschko a good run and Klitschko had Haye wrapped round his little finger.

I don't like Haye, never have since he stepped up to heavyweight! Should've stayed at Cruiserweight and unified the division. I would have loved to have seen Belluw vs Haye.

Anyway, I've thought Frampton would do it since day 1, so I'm sticking with him. I personally don't think it'll be a great spectacle. I'd imagine a bit of a tippy-tappy affair for most, with a few flashes of excitement. Frampton on points would be my prediction.

Called it :whistling:

Was a bit of a poor showing by both Frampton turned up to rounds 1-6 Quigg didn't. Quigg turned up to rounds 7-11 Frampton didn't, Frampton won the 12th. If Frampton fights like that against Rigo he will have his arse well and truly handed to him.

Neither of them will get near Rigo. Frampton would probably nick a few rounds, but Rigo should win by clear UD. He's levels above the pair of them.

Apparently if Frampton doesn't fight Rigo on or before the 27th of July he will be stripped of his belts! I was listening to an interesting segment on Colin Murray's show on TalkSport. The guy 'can't remember his name' was talking about the story of Rigondeaux. A really interesting story and they are making a film too!

Also what are your thoughts on David Haye's campaign to get Muhammad Ali an honoury knighthood?

WAR Rigo! I like Frampton, but he's out of his depth against the Cuban boxing machine. The man is Technically infallible. Easily P4P top 5 on the planet today.

Probably Steve Bunce telling the story. Buncey is a genuine boxing encyclopaedia. He gets some heavy criticism at times, which is occasionally justified, but on the whole, he's a nice enough guy. A big guy aswell. I met him a few years ago on the way to the Froch-Kessler II fight. We briefly chatted about the fight & boxing in general & he came across as a nice enough bloke.

A bit meh TBH. If it happens, it happens, but it won't overly bother me if it doesn't.

That's the badger! Buncey, bit of an excitable character. Can't believe he's only had 16 professional fights and is 35, yet had 457 amateur fights.

Hughie Fury is going to be fighting on the Eubank Jr undercard fighting Nagy Aguilera. Bit of a struggling journeyman but a good test for Hughie.

Also see the wheels seem to be well in motion for Eubank vs Benn III, Benn wants it more than anything Eubank holds all the cards because it seems Benn just wants to be in that ring.

Rigo having issues with his Visa so may not fight in Liverpool on Saturday. I can get tickets for free through tickets for troops but I won't bother if Rigo isn't there.

Heard about this. I'm hoping it gets sorted in time.

Wilder to fight Povetkin in Russia. I think this is the most exciting heavyweight division since the days of Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, etc.
