I felt Usyk won that fight by about 3 rounds myself.Had a bet on Usyk on points and got decent odds of 9/4 as obviously the patriotic bets on Fury helped out

Big one tonight - AJ at Wembley always a spectacle. Good to see him return there.

I'm picking Joshua...just. For me, he just has to avoid being caught early, as we know AJ has a terrible 'poker face'. Lot of discourse about if Dubois can handle the occasion, not entirely sure where this has come from? Has fought on big PPVs before, has headlined sold out arenas plus fighting in stadiums previously. Also travelled and fought abroad. We shall see.

Thoughts, gents?

After watching Joyce make Dubois quit if you told me this fight was going to happen I’d have ****ed myself laughing.

I can’t see past an AJ win as much as I’d love Dubois to win. I don’t see it going the distance and I think that first big punch will be pivotal. If Dubois can land on his chin early and hard we could be in for an interesting fight.

I think you look at recent fights, Dubois has the better wins in terms of opponents. But AJ has the more convincing. For me it’s embarrassing that he will be crowned at the 3 time world champion if he wins when he hasn’t beaten Usyk to get the belt. But the way they throw these World Championship belts about is a ****ing joke anyway.

That wasn’t the best version of AJ in my opinion , he looked like an amateur in there fighting , chin high , hands low , no head movement and zero footwork

Having said that I’m pleased that DD can now get a slice of the money pie

Frank warren has almost put matchroom to the slaughter these past few years

Well that was a shock! AJ completely underestimated Dubois and you could tell that by the fact his hands were down and chin up from the off.

I said whoever put their power on first would make it interesting! Dubois did that! AJ at the end of the 4th seemed like he was still with it talking to Ben Davison in the corner. He very nearly got it back, it was that uppercut that was the issue. Had he thrown the jab before the uppercut he wouldn’t have left his chin exposed to the shot that knocked him out.

Dubois was excellent and AJ was the shadow of his former self.

Hearn afterwards about exercising the rematch clause 🤣🤣 when you get battered like that you don’t deserve a rematch!

AJ needs to build himself back up, I’d like his next fight to be Wilder. Both fighters had a bad run and need to rebuild!

AJ is done. He needs to retire now because if he continues to lose in this fashion his legacy will be tarnished.

Dubois is a different animal to the one that took a knee against Joyce. Five explosive rounds.

He gives me Lenny from Of Mice & Men vibes added with a sprinkle of Frank Bruno.

He won’t retire! They will try and rebuild again, they will play off the fact of the punch that rocked Dubois prior to the KO.

Hearn even mentioned evoking the rematch clause, which is a ****ing joke! The guy got absolutely destroyed he doesn’t deserve a rematch straight away. He needs to fight Wilder if he wants to rebuild or go against a Zhang or Parker.

I don't claim to have loads of boxing knowledge but for me, AJ's never been the same since fighting Joseph Parker. Prior to that he was entertaining as hell to the layman fan and knocking everyone out with ease. Then he tried to actually box and has been found out every since. His weird attitude changes and outbursts have just put a lot of people off him IMO. At one stage it looked like he'd finally realised that he's better trying to knock people out rather than trying to box, but it seems he's lost that ability now too. It's a shame as he was such a fans favourite but I can't help feeling like he's done it all to himself.

Don't know if it's any interest to folk but micheal Watson and Nigel benn are doing a signing tomorrow ( sat 26th oct) where i work. Romford shopping centre between 11 and 1. I'm sure it's going to be busy!

Mike Tyson v Jake Paul this weekend.

Ridiculous contest, but intriguing nonetheless. What’s peoples opinions? Assuming it’s not a fix??

I know nothing about Paul, his pedigree as a fighter is at best negligible. Tyson, even at 58 looks scary in sparing, but 20 odd years of alcohol and drug abuse who knows.

I’m still of the view that Tyson has the skills to pay the bills, he’s gonna KO Paul in 4 Rounds.

What do I know. Over to the experts…

Where to start with this one.

Farcical would be the perfect start. There will be a lot of inverted commas in this post.

This is a money ploy and nothing else. However, the way they've gone about it is just wrong and completely against the ethics of boxing. "You don't play boxing" would be a phrase I would be inclined to use to Jake Paul if this was the real Mike Tyson that gets into the ring. And yes I mean the 58 year old Mike Tyson not the 20 year old who pre Cus D'Amato's passing would have beaten anyone and everyone.

Now why do I say this is farcical? Let's take a look at a few things, Jake Paul has done a fantastic job of over selling what is essentially a padded record. He has a 10-1 record in 'professional' boxing. These bouts have been sanctioned by a governing body and are not for exhibition purposes. Previously he was having a flirt with what could be seen as white collar boxing with the YouTube community. Others such as KSI decided to turn 'pro' and give real boxing a go, Jake then thought he would have some of that.

Lets look at his first 7 fights.

1. Ali Eson Gib - beats a YouTuber on his professional debut, another one who has a lot of the white collar YouTube boxing fights.

2. Nate Robinson - KO'd him in emphatic fashion, however unsurprising as Nate was a professional basketball player making his boxing debut.

3. Ben Askren - A former MMA/UFC fighter with a reputation that proceeds him, famously sent to another realm by Jorge Masvidal with a flying knee in his last UFC fight. Came for the money, looked like he'd won a competition to be there, making his professional boxing debut. However, had a fighting pedigree slightly limited though. Known for his wrestling and grappling, not for his standup work.

4. Tyron Woodley - A former UFC Champion and probably Jake's first 'real' test, making his boxing debut. And he almost lost this fight as Tyron certainly brought it to him but Jake nicked it on the cards. A lot of people thought Tyron won this which left it open to interpretation and more money for Tyron.

5. Tyron Woodley 2 - Stepped in after the Tommy Fury pull out, and didn't look as great in this one bear in mind he was in his late 30's. Knocked out by Paul in the 6th.

6. Anderson Silva - Known as one of the GOATs of UFC a true MMA legend had the longest reign as a UFC champion in their history which still stands today, he was champion from 06 to 13. He was 47 when he stepped into the ring with Paul. A master of BJJ once again not a stand up fighter, Paul wins on points.

7. Tommy Fury - a 'real' boxer. The love island star with the traveller fighting history, the famous brother who was the lineal world heavyweight champion at the time stepped in with Paul after a couple of called off fights. The fight was Paul's first real test and Tommy as boxers go is very limited. He would struggle to win a British title, but he managed to win on point even after being knocked down by Paul. Thus ending the bull**** rhetoric that Paul is the biggest problem in boxing. Stopped him calling out the likes of Canelo.

He has since fought Nate Diaz, another UFC grappling legend who spends more time stoned than not on his debut and won. He fought two lower level boxers and beat them and then fought another UFC legend Mike Perry and beat him.

As you can see he hardly has the pedigree to jump in with the GOAT even if he is 58. You could stick Jake Paul in with the light heavy/cruiser/heavyweight which ever weight he wants current English Champion and they would beat him with ease.

Now what do I think will happen. This will be a draw! Just like when he brother fought Floyd Mayweather in the exhibition fight. This is all about the money and I have no problem with these guys earning a bit of coin coin coin coin post their legendary careers. However, what I don't like is these fights being sanctioned and being added to their boxing records. These are circus fights and should be seen as exhibitions or glorified sparing sessions. But that then means that the governing bodies can't have their slice of the golden pie. Some bull**** belts are always made for these circus shows, usually by the idiots at the WBC.

Mike Tyson if he really wanted to could knock Jake Paul out very easily and could really hurt him even at 58. If you saw the footage from the face off where he slapped Jake in the face. The power behind that along certainly rocked Paul and will be an indication. I really hope Mike does send him into another realm, but I fear even though Mike is a killer he knows that he could seriously hurt him and will know what can happen from boxing injuries.

You do not play boxing! But I very much doubt Jake Paul will find that out because this ruins the circus for everyone else want a slice of the billions that is being made from farcical 'boxing' events like this. I heard someone say that Tyson will get $20m and Jake will get $40m not bad if you can dance around a ring for 16 minutes.

I'll finish on the only two good points from these events. On the undercard you have two very good fights, Taylor v Serrano 2 a close fight last time which I think Taylor lost but was given the decision. Jake Paul has done wonders for women's boxing and has pushed them into the next level with the work he's done with Serrano. Chris Billam Smith fights Zurdo Ramierez in a decent bout and the amount of eyes on these two hopefully great fights will hopefully do the sport good and attract new fans.

Netflix doing it for subscribers is brilliant, the PPV model is the biggest load of bollocks going. DAZN a number of years back said 'GAME CHANGED' they were going to be a subscription service, one monthly/yearly fee and no extras. Funny old thing, they now do PPV events. Which is the biggest issue boxing fans have, if you want to watch all the boxing you need subscriptions to all sorts and then pay £20-£30 for the big PPV events which tend to flatter to deceive outside of the main event. This has since changed since the Saudi involvement but it's taken fights away from the UK for the fans who want to be in the arena. The good thing now is hopefully all the casual audience who will watch this might watch the fights beforehand and think, I really enjoyed that and become more of a fan of general boxing rather than the circus events such as this.

I will not be getting up early to watch it. I am a huge Mike Tyson fan, he is my favourite boxer of all time. But I am not going to watch this, I will look at the result and maybe watch the highlights especially if it's a Tyson KO.
