He has to be up there as one of the biggest idiots in boxing! These Dads who are living off their sons success Bill Haney is exactly the same!

Then you have Lomachenko’s dad who coaches him and Usyk and doesn’t get involved.

The problem with John Fury is the boxing ‘media’ as in these wannabe pages/journalists lap up the circus stuff that John brings for views etc. He is given the platform and the more it goes on the more want to see the clown perform.

I wish they’d just speak to Tyson and Usyk, I don’t want to hear from his Dad, Usyk’s mate, Eddie Hearn or Frank Warren. Too many people in boxing want their 5 minutes of fame. It’s about the two greatest heavyweights of this era stepping in the ring together for all the belts.

I haven’t paid for a PPV in a long time, I will be on Saturday. Can’t deal with buffering or a stream that is behind!

Well, one of the most unbelievable boxing fights ever. How Fury survived that round i don't know. Knocked from pillar to post, but didn't go down. I made it a draw, but I can see why it went to Usyk because of that round and the standing count. Fury was cruising, and showboating, then caught by surprise. He was 3 rounds ahead, but let things go to his big head. Hat's off to Usyk for never giving up, and coming back so strong. A truly great fight.

Plaudits to Matt @Ricey

He called Usyk YEARS ago to be a HW champion, nevermind undisputed. I always thought a good big guy would beat a small big guy, but **** me was I proven wrong.

Had my doubts about this fight, but I secretly fancied Fury. Only word that springs to mind is complacency. Fury had him rocked across 7 rounds but sheer complacency (lack of respect?) bit him hard.

Rumour is John Fury is currently looking for the youngest, smallest Ukarian he can find to exact revenge upon

Didn't John Fury get a thick ear for gobbing off a few days before the fight?

Honestly thought Fury could have lost on all three scorecards, split decision was generous IMO. Complacent and lacking ideas, new trainer and fresh approach surely before the rematch?

I thought it was a very tight fight and I wouldn’t have been surprised by a draw. I think it was a one point fight, and could have gone either way. Fury had a few rounds when he was very much on top and should have taken some more chances with some combinations. Maybe I was just dreading the gushing Ukraine love in across the British ‘media’ but I desperately wanted Fury to win, so that probably clouds my judgment somewhat. Looking forward to the rematch in October. I think Fury wins that and then they will go again.

The knock down for me is what won it for Usyk. There were some close rounds, I actually scored it a draw.

Hats off to Usyk though he survived the adversity when Fury rocked him and came back stronger.

This has the making of a classic trilogy! I’m with @Tribal Chief in the fact I think Fury will win the rematch.

It’s taken us 25 years to get an undisputed heavyweight fight, but **** me it was worth the wait. What Turki Al Sheikh has done for boxing in the past year is incredible. He’s brought two promoters that hated each other together to get some of the best fights and more will follow. The 5v5 Frank v Eddie is a cracker of a card, shame the main event has fallen off as that again is something we needed to see.

I think the governing bodies will probably get greedy and split the belts. AJ will end up fighting for a vacant title, I expect it’ll be the IBF. I’d be very surprised if the rematch is for all the belts. This is why we need to bin them and have the only worthwhile belt as the ring magazine belt.

Boxings back baby!

Funny how people see it, I had Usyk by a couple, but the early 3 rounds plus the 7th were close so can understand the differing opinions. That said, how Fury stayed on his feet god know and was definitely saved by the bell…and a generous count !

Would like to see John Fury 'Tysons Dad' get in the ring with Usyk now .

I'd like to see the big bully get in the ring with anyone his size. Joe Egan keeps offering to fight him after John Fury said he will fight anyone. But I think what JF means is that he will fight anyone much smaller.

If round 9 had gone on for another 30 seconds John Fury would of been picking his son off the canvas .
Oh agreed. Fury didn't defend himself either, ref could have waved it off and Usyk's team had a point when they mentioned that post-fight.

I’ve had some time to digest it.

Adding to what I said late last night, I genuinely feel that it was Tyson’s fight to lose, and he did just that.

I said from the opening round that Fury’s head was all over the place. Mentally, I think the whole build up to this fight had been exhausting for him. He might not have shown it publicly, but he knew this was a mammoth fight with the biggest reward that could ever be earned, and frankly I feel he struggled to cope with that pressure.

He dedicated a lot of his time and energy to riling Usyk & trying to get inside his head. Ironically, when this tactic failed, it was Fury who was left rattled. Showboating to the crowd during rounds was a desperate continuation of these mind games, but again Usyk put the blinkers on and focussed solely on what he had to do. It almost felt like Fury didn’t believe in his abilities alone & needed to break Usyk mentally, to stand any chance of winning.

Usyk showed his calibre & the reasons why he is rated so highly, but he didn’t look unbeatable. Last night was the second time he’s looked susceptible to body shots & whilst Fury had him hurt on several occasions, he seemed to lack that killer instinct on the night.

I’ll die on this hill; a focussed Fury will blast Usyk out. What we saw last night - IMO - wasn’t a focussed Fury. It was an aging, exhausted & stressed man.

I like Sugar Hill, I hope he sticks around. But as for his old man & the rest of his clan, Fury needs to **** them off double quick. He won’t, of course. There should not be three people standing in his corner between rounds, giving him instructions. Andy Lee and John should have stfu.

Also, I’m sick of seeing John Fury steal the lime light. I’m sick of seeing him trying to live vicariously through his son.

This was an eagerly anticipated undisputed, all-on-the-line match-up between two unbeaten fighters, several years in the making…. & yet the 48/72 hours leading up to it were dominated by John Fury’s attempt at beating up a scrawny Ukrainian child.

Excellent analysis mate. I agree that a focused Fury wins and wins fairly easily. Just not sure we will ever see it.
