Foran To Aberdeen...

Foran has been a massive let down.

After the first few games I thought he could be useful- how very wrong I was.

Total and utter cack.

£50,000 is a great bit of business on our part.

The worse loss of £150,000 since Billy Painter!

We only paid £150k as we didn't stay up in 2006/07, there was a £50k clause to be paid if we remained a CCC club.

I did say from the first second it was rumoured we were in for Foran what a wate of time, effort & money it would have been!

Thought he could have been a good player when he first arrived, but it didnt work out and he couldnt cut it. Not too sure how he did out on loan but even at the begining of this season i thought he could cut it at League One level considering how well he did in the SPL befor he came. Doesnt say alot for scottish football that a player who did just alright in league two is being linked with a SPL side

The only thing I remember Foran doing of any use was the goal against Burnley in the 92nd minute to give us a last ditch hope of staying up. Now thats well out the window so I will go back to thinking he is in fact cack and seeing we paid £150k for him makes me want to throw up my fish finger sandwich.

So is signing a player for quite a considerable investment who can actually do the job the manager intended him to do without causing unrest to other members of the squad........

I've always liked Foran as a player and I still do. Things just haven't worked out for him here. He has never been given a real run in the team, someone correct me if I am wrong?? also, Tilly kept playing him on the left wing when he is a striker. One of his reasons for leaving Motherwell was because he was fed up stuck on the wing and he moved to Southend and was promptly stuck out on the wing! I saw his debut at Stoke when he came on as sub and he produced a great pass to set up Freddie's late goal that gave us a point. From then on he never really got a proper chance in his favoured postition and was eventually farmed out to Darlington. I personally think a move back up north will do him good and he will soon start scoring goals.

Look back on the OS, at the time he signed & in Tilly's review of 06/07 he says he signed Foran as a winger, who could help out as an emergency striker if we needed him to. This was also said when Foran went off to Darlo.

How do you know the denial of it being true you heard wasn't just somebody trying to put you off the scent. I've heard this one from far too many different & in some cases really reliable sources for there to be no smoke without fire!
