Films you've watched recently.

I think the reason was to be able to sell the films in the States, for example there was a tie up between Exclusive (later better known as Hammer) Films and the independent American producer and owner of a chain of cinemas, Robert Lippert. This resulted in a lot of faded or never quite made it names like George Brent, Alex Nicol, John Ireland, Lloyd Bridges, Barbara Payton etc being brought in as headliners for the US market. There is an excellent book titled 'The British B film' by Steve Chibnall and Brian McFarlane which I have found indispensable.
Thanks a lot---Another American actor (who I do like is Dan Duryea)--I have that very book--I must get it down from the shelf.
