Films you've watched recently.

No Time to Die (free on Amazon Prime)

It had a different feel about it than other Bond films. The budget for this must have been massive...... Good film.

I came home from running last night and was appalled to find my niece and nephew sitting on my sofa watching Pretty Woman.

I explained to them that the film paints an unrealistic view of the world and in reality Julia Roberts would have probably done a runner with the $250k necklace and traded it for crack.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Nicholas Cage (playing himself) gets recruited by the CIA as a spy after a cartel member hires him as a guest for his party. It's completely ridiculous but a lot of fun, 8/10.

Finch and Greyhound (Apple TV). Both very good.

Has anyone noticed that Netflix has gone down hill with the quality of films they're adding? They seem to be B films or foreign and at £10.99, it doesn't seem value for money anymore. Amazon Prime is better and I've just joined Apple TV, both are half the price than Netflix.

What’s wrong with foreign films? Do you only watch films made in the Uk? ?

I pay a fiver a month for Netflix as part of my Sky package and it’s well worth it. Watch more on there than I do any terrestrial TV channels.

I'm with you on that, I never watch terrestirial TV unless it's on catch up with something I really want to watch which isn't often.

I'm pretty happy with Apple TV and Amazon Prime, some good stuff to watch.

I'm thinking about ditching Netflix, I read somewhere that a lot of people are moving away from it now and choosing other streaming services.

Definitely mate.Worth a watch.Northmen on my next cinema trip
My mate's in that. Looks amazing.
Did either of you watch it in the end? I loved it. Cinematography was amazing. Trailers painted a picture of it being a more realistic historical fact-based premise, but there was a lot of spirituality in it - see-ers, Witches, etc. So based as much on the Norse Myths as on historical knowledge. If you've seen "Vikings" on Amazon Prime, think of that on steroids and crack.

Loved it! Ridiculous but in a good and hilarious way. The comedic chemistry between Nick Cage and Pedro Pascal is off the scale.

Death on the Nile - the Disney remake, it’s absolutely dreadful.

one of the worst films I’ve seen in a long time, the acting is awful, the green screen is totally OTT.

The David Suchet and Peter Ustinov versions are 100 times better.

2 hours of my life wasted.

1/10
Sounds almost like you went in wanting to hate it! It wasn't that bad! I quite enjoyed it, just like I enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express.

The acting seemed to me to be deliberately slightly over the top, just as it was in the TV shows.

Not a "Disney Remake" either. Disney weren't involved in the production at all. It just so happens that Disney owns the company which holds the film's distribution rights. Different to other deals where Disney actually owns the production studio, such as with Marvel and Lucasfilm.

I watched Northmen and I really enjoyed it.A bit brutal but that's way it was back then

I’m watching the Dirty Dozen. I’ve watched it well over a dozen times, for sure.

I love all those guys, but none more so than Archer J Maggot. A real man IMO.

I watched The Trial of the Chicago 7 last night. A very good film which once again showed how corrupt the American justice and political system was, and probably still is.

Some very good performances from the ensemble cast, including Mark Rylance and Sacha Baron Cohen who appeared to be channelling Elliott Gould.

Well worth a watch.
