Films you've watched recently.

Maze Runner: Scorch Trials

Talk about sleeper hit. Made 640mil on a 64m budget, and it deserves every cent. Can't wait for the finale in a year or two!

Haven't seen the film, so I can't really comment but perhaps the humour was unintentional (at least in your opinion)?

Yes maybe or maybe there are some funny lines in the film which strange as it may be made the paying public laugh,in fact i am aware that the paying public laughed at said funny lines in a French cinema as they did when i saw the film with said funny lines whilst i was in the UK.
In my oh so very humble opinion the ending was a pile of cack that made me laugh but thanks for chipping in with your very own cack.

Er, yes I imagine you were. Don't remember much humour.

Not at the end (I think!), but a few other little bits. E.g. plenty of what Han said, that bit where the Stormtroopers turned back when Kylo Ren was having a temper tantrum, etc. Not exactly Airplane, but amusing enough.

Chewbacca was of course the funniest.

Trainwreck. Much better than I was expecting, very funny & flipped the usual gender roles for rom-coms. Also a great ensemble cast including John Cena, Jon Glaser (Jeremy Jamm in P&R), an unrecognisable Tilda Swinton, Method Man and Lebron James who completely stole the show. 7.5/10

Dads Army - Not sure what I was expecting out of this, but it came equipped with a very strong cast. The film aims to be an affectionate tribute to the TV series but the script is just not worthy of the actors and it may have benefitted from being shown on TV instead of the big screen. Made me laugh occasionally with Daniel Mays taking the acting honours closely followed by Toby Jones. 6/10

Ride Along - 8/10 - Kevin Hart and Ice Cube make a good duo. Nice and easy watch with some good funny bits in it and will definitely be watching the 2nd one.

Goosebumps.

Somewhat surprisingly, considering I was expecting it to be an alright film, it's genuinely decent. Lovely tribute to everything the books were, and Jack Black's fantastic.

A pity all the other adults are blundering idiots, of course, but I suspect they were in the books too (he says having not read one in about 20 years).
