FC- Week 3

Nick paid £2.5m for a 19yo strong/respectable with proficient stamina this morning so probably about right. Just get bowling & fielding nets on him and he'll be remarkable/strong before the end of next season.

No complaints about my captain. Ignored Curtis completely and took Lizwelicha off after 3 overs to get Suthers and Cooky back in tandem, they respond with 3 wickets in 8 balls!

End of Over 51 (3 runs). Lenzie XI: 129-6, runrate=2.53
Trail by 394 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 523-3 dec)
Sutherland 11-0-30-3
Barker* 1 (3 balls)
Taylor 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Rosenior c. Askew b. Sutherland 0 (FOW: 129/6)

Inspired FC bowling from Cooky:

End of Over 60 (2 runs). Lenzie XI: 135-9, runrate=2.25
Trail by 388 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 523-3 dec)
Cook 13-7-11-3
Rayno* 0 (1 balls)
Malloy 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Horton c. Askew b. Cook 0 (FOW: 135/9)

Suthers has just picked up the last one for a 5fer. A good start and maybe we can finish this today.

End of Over 68 (6 runs). Napster's XI: 400-3, runrate=5.88
Lead by 127 runs. (Twenty Esterling Rogues 273-10)
Darcy 14-0-101-0
Back* 2 (3 balls)
Booth 72 (64 balls)

Last Wicket: Jefferson c & b. Field 167 (FOW: 394/3)

we've declared...could finish this tomorrow

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 69 (7 runs). Napster's XI: 407-3, runrate=5.90
Lead by 134 runs. (Twenty Esterling Rogues 273-10)
Field 15-2-51-1
Back* 8 (7 balls)
Booth 73 (66 balls)

Last Wicket: Jefferson c & b. Field 167 (FOW: 394/3)

86-5 at tea. They are still 2 runs behind. Looks like I'll be getting a rest day, but no gate receipts tomorrow.

Worryingly Bulldogs look like losing by an innings. I could really do with them tiring themselves out by bowling twice.

Finally got through their top order, but can only see myself getting a draw at best out of this one.

End of Over 86 (Maiden). Wolfmen: 384-4, runrate=4.47
Lead by 21 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 363-3 dec)
Middleton 18-4-61-2
Heggett* 4 (25 balls)
Blezard 0 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Canham c. Evelyn b. Middleton 20 (FOW: 382/4)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB has collapsed, and desperately needs to avoid the follow-on, otherwise she's in big trouble.

End of Over 50 (2 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 188-6, runrate=3.76
Trail by 175 runs. (Aylesbury 363-6 dec)
Duncum 7-1-19-1
Percival* 14 (34 balls)
Higgs 0 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Mohammed b. Batt 0 (FOW: 186/6)

good old Tuckers

End of Over 2 (1 runs). Twenty Esterling Rogues: 1-1, runrate=0.50 (1st Inn: 273-10)
Trail by 133 runs. (Napster's XI 407-3 dec)
Van niekerk 1-0-1-0
Ferrier* 1 (5 balls)
Kone 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Cameron b. Tuckett 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Doesn't look like we'll be finishing today.

End of Over 6 (Maiden). Lenzie XI: 18-0, runrate=3.00 (1st Inn: 135-10)
Trail by 370 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 523-3 dec)
Cook 3-1-5-0
Randall* 5 (13 balls)
Barker 11 (24 balls)

I'm assuming that at the change of innings, the captain considers spells to be reset? Suthers and Cook have now put in about 11 each so are probably tiring.

EDIT: Leave them in!

8.1 W Sutherland to Randall
You can't afford to miss straight balls. Clean bowled.

End of Over 8 (Maiden). Lenzie XI: 22-1, runrate=2.75 (1st Inn: 135-10)
Trail by 366 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 523-3 dec)
Cook 4-2-5-1
Randall* 5 (17 balls)
Canham 0 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Barker c. London b. Cook 14 (FOW: 22/1)

Heggett* 22 (53 balls)
Blezard 16 (44 balls)

Last Wicket: Canham c. Evelyn b. Middleton 20 (FOW: 382/4)

Mrs BB just about avoided the follow-on, although it was looking dodgy when she lost 3 for none, while still needing 2 !

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 61 (Maiden). DIBS DIPPERS: 219-10, runrate=3.59
Trail by 144 runs. (Aylesbury 363-6 dec)

Taken a couple more wickets, but still struggling really

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

End of Over 8 (10 runs). Aylesbury: 38-1, runrate=4.75 (1st Inn: 363-6 dec)
Lead by 182 runs. (DIBS DIPPERS 219-10)
Bradley 1-0-10-0
Tselane* 15 (19 balls)
Duncum 18 (27 balls)

Last Wicket: Pilkington Run Out 1 (FOW: 1/1)

I've got them 9 down, am hoping they can put on a 10th wicket partnership, so I can get my £120,000 gate receipts from tomorrow!

They lead by 31

I'm away so would love to get this done in two days:

End of Over 23 (6 runs). Lenzie XI: 75-4, runrate=3.26 (1st Inn: 135-10)
Trail by 313 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 523-3 dec)
Mushtaq 5-0-20-1
Rosenior* 13 (16 balls)
Southgate 30 (27 balls)

Last Wicket: Canham c. Sutherland b. Mushtaq 5 (FOW: 56/4)

More than happy to let these two bat for the rest of the match.

End of Over 40 (4 runs). Southend United: 210-2, runrate=5.25
Trail by 392 runs. (Royal Bruisers 602-5 dec)
Woollard 7-0-37-1
Sugden* 77 (84 balls)
Drury 37 (41 balls)

Last Wicket: Bartlett c. Ford b. Woollard 74 (FOW: 142/2)

I bowled them out for 124 second time round.

I've now got to try and bat 16 overs and score less than 37 runs.

Holt is doing well 0* off 11, but Griffiths is scoring a run a ball 7.

Not good for me. My oppo now lead by 425 and have still only lost 1 wicket. I'd imagine he didn't set a declaration target today, so he will declare tonight and i will have to bat out 110 overs tomorrow and with my lack of batters in the team this week, i could struggle. The other bad thing is that Jackman & Guy's fitness will drop so i might have to rest them Friday and let them both play Sunday in the cup match!

End of Over 120 (Maiden). Wolfmen: 467-8, runrate=3.89
Lead by 104 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 363-3 dec)
Prasad 23-5-78-3
Downing* 0 (12 balls)
Hone 1 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Fredericks c. Oconnor b. Prasad 3 (FOW: 466/8)

Looks like I'm going to give up a deficit of about 120, so no real way I can win this in the time left.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

End of Over 22 (3 runs). Aylesbury: 76-1, runrate=3.45 (1st Inn: 363-6 dec)
Lead by 220 runs. (DIBS DIPPERS 219-10)
York 6-0-18-0
Duncum* 37 (69 balls)
Tselane 32 (62 balls)

interesting one here, although will very probably be a draw- good to get the bonus points on board though.

End of Over 96 (1 runs). Eddsup: 429-7, runrate=4.47
Trail by 75 runs. (Pettefershire CCC 504-8 dec)
Cairns 18-5-46-3
Butt* 169 (163 balls)
Innes 30 (63 balls)

Thrilling finish for the day, as I struggle to string out the overs.

I trail by 12 runs, with maybe 6 overs left.

Block, block, block!
