FC- Week 3

End of Over 124 (3 runs). Wolfmen: 474-9, runrate=3.82
Lead by 111 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 363-3 dec)
Prasad 25-6-81-4
Hone* 7 (26 balls)
Drench 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Downing c. Evelyn b. Prasad 1 (FOW: 474/9)

Close of play, think I'll just set my crappiest bowlers to bowl and the just bat out whatever time is left.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

End of Over 29 (5 runs). Aylesbury: 105-2, runrate=3.62 (1st Inn: 363-6 dec)
Lead by 249 runs. (DIBS DIPPERS 219-10)
Bradley 7-0-22-0
Obrien* 4 (8 balls)
Duncum 53 (97 balls)

Last Wicket: Tselane c. Stride b. York 40 (FOW: 86/2)

Interesting one for Mrs BB, does she bowl some carp, hope her oppo has set declaration at about 280 and try and chase that, or does she try and tie them down, and just bat what's left ?

Well i have just spotted that my oppo doesn't log in too regularly so hopefully he wont do and thus wont set a declaration total! So Jackman and Guy wont be bowling at all and it will be left to Akram/Khoto/Hitchman to probably bowl the 110 overs. If they have set a declaration total, then every batter is set to very defensive as i cant see me getting 460 in 110 overs. Be quite happy to bat the down out if it does happen!

Kev

5 wickets left to get so hopefully we can wrap it up nice and early tomorrow. Fitness looking good still and can only be helped by the fact we should be able to TIE on Friday & Sunday.

Got to be a bit careful with my bowlers, just in case I get bowled out and leave them a target of 150 odd. Best I can really hope for is a draw.

Mrs BB has had to juggle her bowling a little bit, but has resisted the temptation to just bowl a load of rubbish.

Hmm, oppo's innings lasted 1 ball today, as my spinner took his 1st wicket of the innings on a Dusty track. Why do I get the feeling I'm going to be rolled over by some crap spinner today !

End of Over 125 (Maiden). Wolfmen: 474-10, runrate=3.79
Lead by 111 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 363-3 dec)
Oconnor 19-3-58-1
Drench* 0 (1 balls)

124.1 W Oconnor to Hone
No turn off the wicket and Hone is caught by surprise. The fielders go up, and so does the umpire's finger.

Well there is some rather good news from my game. The oppo are still batting! I am now going to be willing my bowlers not to get any wickets and let them rack up 1000 runs! :D Lets hope he hasn't put in 500 as a dec. for the 1st and 2nd innings as if he has, i'll be fooked!

Kev

set all my bowlers to att/v.att to get them out. Mavuso's the dangerman.

End of Over 42 (4 runs). Twenty Esterling Rogues: 85-4, runrate=2.02 (1st Inn: 273-10)
Trail by 49 runs. (Napster's XI 407-3 dec)
Tuckett 10-5-13-1
Schooney* 8 (25 balls)
Mavuso 28 (72 balls)

Last Wicket: Bone b. Nguyen-lee 0 (FOW: 64/4)

My best batter fell, and the first of my 3 all rounders comes to the crease.

End of Over 56 (2 runs). Southend United: 287-4, runrate=5.13
Trail by 315 runs. (Royal Bruisers 602-5 dec)

Barnett* 3 (6 balls)
Boateng 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Drury c. Nash b. Morris 73 (FOW: 287/4)

55.6 W Morris to Drury
Swished outside off stump to a short delivery, top edging to a grateful Nash at third man.

J-Mac finally gets some reward, knocking out the tail.

End of Over 109 (Maiden). Eddsup: 460-10, runrate=4.22
Trail by 44 runs. (Pettefershire CCC 504-8 dec)
Mackin 23-2-107-2
Tennant* 0 (18 balls)

1st wicket down, but at least it saves some PFL for Schoeman

End of Over 7 (4 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 31-1, runrate=4.43 (1st Inn: 363-3 dec)
Trail by 80 runs. (Wolfmen 474-10 dec)

Evelyn* 24 (22 balls)
Middleton 0 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Schoeman c. Drench b. Fredericks 6 (FOW: 31/1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

No sign of a declaration yet in Mrs BB's game, and they're not exactly getting a move on either.

End of Over 38 (3 runs). Aylesbury: 129-3, runrate=3.39 (1st Inn: 363-6 dec)

Last Wicket: Obrien c. Stride b. Higgs 8 (FOW: 110/3)

Another one gone, and we're still not in credit...

End of Over 18 (10 runs, 1b). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 74-3, runrate=4.11 (1st Inn: 363-3 dec)
Trail by 37 runs. (Wolfmen 474-10 dec)

Middleton* 21 (30 balls)
Blake 5 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Raziuddin c. Drench b. Fredericks 10 (FOW: 61/3)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Still no declaration in Mrs BB's game

End of Over 49 (4 runs). Aylesbury: 176-4, runrate=3.59 (1st Inn: 363-6 dec)
Lead by 320 runs. (DIBS DIPPERS 219-10)
Higgs 12-2-38-1
Duncum* 88 (157 balls)
Batt 2 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Gillespie c & b. Mohammed 20 (FOW: 172/4)

Edit - Declaration has come, leaving Mrs BB 88 overs to score 329 (RRR 3.74), or survive. Could be a good finish !

might win this one

End of Over 61 (8 runs). Twenty Esterling Rogues: 133-7, runrate=2.18 (1st Inn: 273-10)
Trail by 1 runs. (Napster's XI 407-3 dec)

Last Wicket: Mcallister c. Whittingham b. Nguyen-lee 6 (FOW: 133/7)

60.6 W Nguyen-lee to Mcallister
A mistimed shot from Mcallister and a simple catch for Whittingham.

game on. whitters in his first over takes out the big one

End of Over 62 (Maiden). Twenty Esterling Rogues: 133-8, runrate=2.15 (1st Inn: 273-10)
Trail by 1 runs. (Napster's XI 407-3 dec)

Warlow* 0 (0 balls)
Dempster 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Mavuso c. Van niekerk b. Whittingham 49 (FOW: 133/8)

61.6 . Whittingham to Dempster
Forward defensive, pushed into the ground.
61.5 . Whittingham to Dempster
That was a real effort ball which flew past the off stump through to Back before Dempster had even considered playing a stroke.
61.4 . Whittingham to Dempster
Beautiful movement off the seam, nothing the batsman can do.
61.3 . Whittingham to Dempster
Slower ball, pitched up and quite wide outside off stump. Dempster tries to slam it away through the covers, a swing and a miss, and through to Back.
61.2 W Whittingham to Mavuso
Out. Pitched outside off stump, and the ugly slog sweep of Mavuso only succeeds in getting a top edge. The ball was in the air for a long time, but Van niekerk pouched it without fuss.
61.1 . Whittingham to Mavuso
Good ball pitched outside off stump and coming in sharply, hits Mavuso on the pad outside the off stump.

All done and dusted nice and quickly this morning.

Have decided to sacrifice one of my batting trainees in order to up my bowlers stamina. The fitness hits are hiuge and I'm starting to think you need to aim for minimum:

All Rounders - Superb
Bowlers - Strong
Batsmen - Proficient

if you're going to put out a strong team in every match.

End of Over 63 (Maiden). Twenty Esterling Rogues: 133-9, runrate=2.11 (1st Inn: 273-10)

Nguyen-lee 11-3-18-4
Dempster* 0 (4 balls)
Darcy 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Warlow c. Back b. Nguyen-lee 0 (FOW: 133/9)

62.6 W Nguyen-lee to Warlow
Sensational take by Back. The umpire gives Warlow his marching orders.

I'd go along with except for WK/Bats, I reckon they might need Strong as well.

fantastic win and save PFL

And that's it for the days play. Join us again tomorrow for more ball by ball coverage.

And that's the end of the match. an innings and 1 runs.

End of Over 65 (Maiden). Twenty Esterling Rogues: 133-10, runrate=2.05 (1st Inn: 273-10)
Trail by 1 runs. (Napster's XI 407-3 dec)
Nguyen-lee 11-3-18-5
Dempster* 0 (10 balls)

64.2 W Nguyen-lee to Darcy
Darcy 'danced' down the wicket to meet this one. Unfortunately he completely misjudged the flight of the ball and was promptly stumped by Back.
64.1 . Nguyen-lee to Darcy
Where's the ball? Where's the ball? There's the ball! Seems like Sutherland was hiding it for some reason!
