My mate Elmo's game has just produced an awesome name combination!

10.3 W Fanie to Craddock
Wicket ball. That's through the defences and Fanie has his man.

Mavuso's gone

End of Over 100 (Maiden). Twenty Esterling Rogues: 243-9, runrate=2.43
Woodgate 13-4-24-1
Dempster* 2 (21 balls)
Darcy 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Mavuso lbw b. Woodgate 129 (FOW: 243/9)

I now lead by 18 runs, with a bowling change due. The good news is their 5th bowler is now due on, the bad news is that one of their opening bowlers is due to return.

I only don't as I've only played on cracked & green pitches so far!

I'm on a green pitch with humid conditions today. I tried to set my openers more defensive, but I want my middle order to counter-attack against their weaker change bowlers. Unless all your players have defensive mentality and the opposition have 5 equally strong bowlers, you should have at least a couple of players attacking.

Not really had to think about it that much yet. First game I got thrashed, second game I thrashed them. No real tactics involved thus far!!

Hmm, I might have declared a bit early. His openers have wages of £36k (WK/Bat) and £48k

End of Over 6 (7 runs). Wolfmen: 25-0, runrate=4.17
Trail by 338 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 363-3 dec)
Oconnor 1-0-7-0
Schutte* 19 (28 balls)
Gilbert 5 (9 balls)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

End of Over 104 (7 runs). Aylesbury: 299-5, runrate=2.88
Mohammed 31-11-60-4
Batt* 44 (73 balls)
Tiny 6 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Gillespie b. Mohammed 86 (FOW: 283/5)

slight collapse late on, but some tail-end fun from Francis.. we'll declare at 500 tomorrow.

End of Over 110 (9 runs). Pettefershire CCC: 479-7, runrate=4.35
Innes 25-2-90-3
Francis* 13 (13 balls)
Ahmed 73 (84 balls)
Last Wicket: Stevenson b. Innes 0 (FOW: 454/7)

Finished 163-3. That is 53 runs ahead. Keigher 77* and Thomas 67*.

Tomorrow the forecast is for not quite as helpful bowling weather as the final day, so I'll try and bat for two-thirds of the day and then try to rip out their top order after tea, before having a rest overnight and trying to finish them off on the final day. As it is a home game, I'd like to bat on a bit longer to maximise gate receipts. In all probability, their opening bowlers will open in the morning and take a couple of wickets which will allow their lesser bowlers to gradually work through my order and bowl me out short of my declaration target.

Well well - ORM in competes in FC game shocker. Finally made 316 including a 148 from star batsmen and an unheard of 58 run partnership from 9 and 10 batsmen. Lucky if I get half that with the last 5 usually. One of their bowlers is a shocker so I guess orders might change for them. In reply first ball wicket and closed at 41 for 2. Game on or at least until i get blasted out the game tomorrow :d

My plan went wrong. Hid Granville at number 7 in the aim of him not batting, and we go to 56-5! He hit 180 not out to take us up to 308 all out. Very disappointing score, but the conditions favoured bowlers today. Midi CC have ended the day on 16-0.

Declared at 363-1, but they have raced to 84-0 off of 14 overs. Forecast today is Partly Cloudy and Humid, so need to bowl them out quickly and enforce the follow-on, otherwise it's going to be tough to win.

Set Cooky & Cold Rod to very attacking and reset the declaration target to 520 so Cooky can get his century. Will then be hoping my bowlers can do the business.

Bugger

End of Over 1 (Maiden). Napster's XI: 0-1, runrate=0.00
Trail by 273 runs. (Twenty Esterling Rogues 273-10)
Dempster 1-1-0-1
Jefferson* 0 (0 balls)
Sutherland 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Murray b. Dempster 0 (FOW: 0/1)

0.6 . Dempster to Sutherland
Whoa! Swing and a miss by Sutherland. Any later and he'd need a note from his parents.
0.5 . Dempster to Sutherland
Fullish ball, angling in on off stump, watchfully forward, defending up to mid off with a straight bat.
0.4 . Dempster to Sutherland
Pitched up, Sutherland drives well but finds the mid off fielder.
0.3 . Dempster to Sutherland
What a ball! Dempster can't believe he didn't get his man there!
0.2 . Dempster to Sutherland
Played all around that one. Sutherland looked a little bit vulnerable for a moment there.
0.1 W Dempster to Murray
Through the gate went the ball, and to the pavilion went Murray. A great wicket taking delivery!
