Evening Echo today

I'm sure there will be a board meeting today regardless of the offer made.
Indeed.

The directors have to be careful &, more than that, have to be seen to be acting responsibly to avoid any repercussions on the various bits of insolvency legislation.

Basically a company with a negative bottom line that relies on support from the parent company can continue to trade, whilst that pledge of support still exists but if for any reason that is withdrawn then insolvency is the obvious result.

As stated in a Companies Act thread a few days ago, the directors can be held personally liable outside the normal provisions if they aren't seen to be acting in a "reasonable" manner.

Personally I'd be holding a board meeting about every 5 minutes in the current climate!! :'(

I want the Echo to do their job.

I mean, who are these guys?

They should ask the following questions:

What was your Mother's maiden name?

What is your date of birth?

What was the name of your first school?

What is your postcode?

What is the first line of your home address?

If we get all of this info, we could get full access to their bank accounts. If they really are worth 150 mill and just a small % is sitting in their current accounts.....

But, oh no, not the freaking Echo, they never think 'out of the box'!

favourite four digit passcode, along with tax payment history

Why exactly did our lovable local rag deem it neccessary to lead Mondays edition with "players not paid" and a small apology in the corner saying "oh by the way we won on Friday" .. surely the other way around would have scanned better ??

Time to actually speculate who these 10 mystery men are..

Just speculation, of course. Club would be safe as houses under these ten.
