Well after securing a draw against Northants, we are taking on the Taffs this week.

Essex won the toss and elected to field, only change is Chambers back in for Topley who's gone back to school...

Glamorgan currently 269/8, after being 164/6 at one stage.

Wickets shared around, 2 each for Masters, Tsotsobe and Ravi, 1 apiece for Chambers and Phillips

279 all out............was it the right choice to put them in?

46/3, albeit one of them is Masters who added a useful 21 off 35 as NW. Amazing how horribly exposed our batting looks when both openers fail.

I see Harris has done quite well for him. He is someone mentioned a couple of years ago as having potential England credentials. There does seem to be a good crop coming through, with Rashid having got off to a decent start, Woakes getting a century to add to his tidy bowling and even former Essex man Varun Chopra getting 2 double tons before the start of May.

Be nice now if Essex and some of their players can get their season going.

They are 75-2 in their second innings so a tidy lead. Tsotsobe not exactly destroying batsmen yet is he?! How many wickets has Ravi taken so far this season? He seems to be chipping in with a few, and whilst his batting hasn't kicked on fully I wonder if that will be enough to convince the selectors he should have the chance at 6 in the summer tests......

Godleman went first over for 0 as we started to chase an improbable 360

30/1 at the moment but we are looking down the barrel as the pitch starts to take spin, i've never known such a poor start to the season

I'm going to the CB40s verses Notts and Lancs on Sunday and Monday and boy i hope the one dayers provide a better performance than the 4 day stuff served up thus far

I have the impression that we haven't seen too many 'fourth days' this season.
