Chortle. Stevens was well within his rights not to walk - not his fault that the third umpire made a shocking decision. You all only hate him because he's the cricketer your useless show pony Graham Napier wishes he was.

I see Cooky has signed for another couple of years, not that we're getting much use out of him now he's OD captain!

Playing Glamorgan in the CB40 later, 4 wins and 2 NRs, we're sitting quite pretty in second but only the best runner up qualifies for the semis and we're playing top of the table Somerset at Garons next week. Would appear to be our best chance of success this season with us having played more games in the CC.

171 for 9. Odd that we won the toss when a) we traditionally like chasing b) it presumably was tricky conditions to start the game.

Ravi and Tendo have not been weighing in with many runs of late.

I see Foster is not playing today.

A win at Garons in the Championship will give us a good chance of pushing for promotion. Have we got an overseas player playing tomorrow (my mind seems have inexplicably drawn a blank on who ours is now for the Championship!).

I heard Fozzie was struggling with an injury last week and was a doubt, don't know whether he'll be back for tomorrow. Maybe they'll play him as a batsman only?

Don't know if he's just knackered but post-IPL RtD is a shadow of his former self. He's even been sloppy in the field. Rather lucky to be included today IMO. The trouble is there are so many out of form and deserving of being dropped. I see MtS was dropped today.

Don't think we've got a county championship overseas player. The club tried to get Southee, but NZ would only grant him a NOC for 20:20.

A pretty tame defeat, we probably need to win our last four to get the best runners up spot now.

We got them out for 202 in the end, another 4 wickets for Tom Craddock who's making quite a start to his career! Westley out for a 20 ball duck and we're 16/1 in reply. Not looking promising.

A half decent day, though could have done without losing Mickleburgh to the last ball of the day. Effectively 110/4 with Ravi unbeaten on 55. If we can push that lead towards 250 we have a chance.

Awful start for Essex with RtD failing again. He's averaging 7.85 this year in the County Championship.

Wheater follows for a duck as well.

Poor Ravi, top-scorer in both innings, he's trying to win this game single-handedly and no-one will stay with him.
