THe Kent Surrey game is on TV tonight as well I think.....cheering on a closely fought Kent win tonight, and then a thrashing for Kent tomorrow!

If Surrey win tonight then we need them to beat Sussex tomorrow as well.

Of course any permutations rely on us beating Kent tomorrow. With a week off, hopefully the likes of Napier and Styris have continued their recovery and we can have close to a full strength team out.
I wonder if Cook might play as well?

Kent are absolutely beasting the Surrey bowlers. Run rate over 10 with 5 overs left. Guess we could do with them just slowing down slightly but still posting a winning score.

It's been strange supporting Kent, but we want them to sit on around 180, and for Surrey to fall agonisingly (for us, beautifully) short by a few runs.

Who are we supposed to be supporting in this one?

I see Jason Roy is going well. Good prospect. Excellent fielder and clean hitter. South African born I think as well, which will make him a shoe-in for England.

It's not quite in our hands, we could win and get done on NRR if we have a narrow win and Surrey beat Sussex narrowly. But that would require both games being about a run apart I reckon, in all likelihood a win should be enough to scrape in.

3. Sussex.. 15 8 5 0 2 18 +0.019
4. Kent..... 15 8 5 0 2 18 -0.294
5. Surrey... 15 7 5 0 3 17 +0.188
6. Essex.... 15 7 6 0 2 16 -0.034

Had a quick work out, and there needs to be about a 15 run difference between what we win by, and what Sussex lose by. e.g. We score 180 and win by 10 runs, Sussex would need to lose by less than 5 runs.

Or thereabouts.....:whistling:

Should be good viewing tonight....will be watching Essex on Sky with Cricinfo open to keep up to date with Sussex match. For nerves we really want one team in that game to get thrashed, whether it is Sussex or Surrey, and then a win for us will see us through.

Some interesting decisions by the England set up this week. Prior allowed to play for Sussex but KP and Tremlett not allowed to play for Surrey. I suspect Cook wont be allowed to play tonight, but hopefully with Napier back, and Bops and Shah we will have a decent line up.

The last few weeks, with results all across the division being so important, has really shown the best of T20.

I believe that this is the point when I arrive to tell you that Darren Stevens is going to smash you all over the park tonight, then disappear from this thread forever when it doesn't happen.

Luckily for him he got given another innings after deciding he didn't want to be out, and the third umpire somehow backed him up.

Who says cheats never prosper?

Shocking decision, you could see the on field umpires knew it was out, but still referred it.
And while I'm whinging the Sky commentators in particular the Lancastrian ***** are so anti Essex it's unreal.

I'm watching the game whilst Sus vs The Rey is on the pc via Cricinfo.

Cant believe that catch wasnt given.

Cant stand Kent, esp that fat fecker Stevens.

Hope Ravi comes good for you boys tonight, and would be nice to see Styris get his own back for that ''non catch''

Well that's Ravi as he pats one back to the cheating **** Stevens. Here's hoping Tendo & Styris can win this.
