Not too bad from where we were. Nice to see us with a little lower order batting resistance this season (the sort we normally gift to the oppositions batsmen!).

That is great news. Was wondering how this young lad would get on. Not bad. 4 wickets in his first stint of bowling and a couple of wickets in his next game. Give the youth a chance!! That bowling line up looks awfully weak...

Leics ended the day on 245/7, 4 wickets for Craddock, 2 for Masters and 1 for Chambers.

Good chance to force a win from here if we can knock the tail over quickly this morning.

Leics 274 ao, Masters taking all 3 this morning to finish with 23.4-9-67-5. We lead by 48....

Essex really need to capitalise on this lead, I would say if they set a target in excess of 300 then it should be a win for us. I'm very interested to see Craddock getting the spinners berth ahead of Phillips who has been excellent in both T20 & 40 Over games. And dood luck to Craddock as he seems to be taking his chance.

Phillips' bowling in fc has been garbage.

I'm calling a Ravi Bo hundred - although at the rate Westley is going at, he might not get a bat. 23* off 15.

Essex 55/0 at lunch, Westley 39* off 40 balls, Godleman 15*. Lead is 103

Good morning for us. All things going well we should have a lead of 300 by the end of the day . (here's hoping, at least!) Difficult to know when will be the best time to declare? (trusting we will have that option) ....I suppose it will depend on how well the wicket is playing.

86/0 and the lead is 134. Very impressive innings from Westley so far but Godleman's strike rate of 26 isn't helping matters. Hopefully wickets won't be an issue (especially as YB has guaranteed a ton for Ravi) so he needs to up the pace or get out.

186/1, pace being picked up now, we've taken 29 runs from the last 20 balls.

Lead is 234, might be trying to get 10 overs at them tonight....

RtD falls after 2 runs from 9 balls, not exactly the charge we were looking for this morning. Though Shah has added runs, I assume we'll let him get his ton and then declare. 367 is the lead.
