Sturrock has massive issues with player biasty.

He didnt even want to offer Granty a contract in the summer because he wasn't his own despite being the most talented center midfielder at the club during his time.

Gave his son a pro career when never close to being good enough. Where is he playing now?

Eastwoods not his own. He won't give him the chance to prove him wrong.
Got to agree with that , Sturrock striker that is a joke , he would not get in my subbuteo side .

As said before, Sturrock has already said he wanted to sign Eastwood.

As for Grant, we wanted to keep him but it was his decision to leave?

The real question that needs answering is why are Lund and Mayor at the club as they are simply NOT good enough , oh how we are missing Timlin and Laird .

Because we are missing players like Timlin and Laird?

I thought Lund was ok to be honest.

Anyway we should hopefully see Tam rejoin this week which will be a boost.

Lund is a good player, does a lot of work in the middle. Mayor is a bit lightweight but some nice jinking runs on Saturday and he held the ball up until Hurst had space for the goal.

Lund is a good player but it's a lot to ask him to boss the midfield, I'd like to see him in there with Laird. Mayor has some pace and skill but needs to learn when to release the ball, held on to it for one touch too many every time on Saturday.

As for Freddy, I'd have told Sturrock to **** off when bringing me on for injury time.

Then why is BM back playing with the club, he messed Sturrock and the club around no end. Freddy workrate is not the greatest and never realy was, and i think PS like his strikers to chase every ball down. Imo FE is carrying an injury that just wont clear up, and PS knows he cant play 90min.

Why play Bilel for a whole game on Saturday? Yes he held the ball up well, but he tired with 30 minutes to go. I am a big fan of Bilel but he was very lazy and he's heart wasn't in it. Sturrock then brings on Corr in the middle of midfield, why, when he's done such a good job for us recently up top???

Assombalonga did very little on Saturday, made a few good runs but he just doesn't seem the player he was at the beginning of the season. I feel that he misses someone like Tomlin who he can link up with. Poor old Fred gets a few minutes here and there, why??? He deserves a run out in a game where he can create so much. Sturrock doesn't seem to have faith in him, even though we have been lacking goals from our strikers in recent months.

At the end of the day, Fred should get given the opportunity to have more minutes on the field, regardless of what happens in training because he is a player that can change the game!

I saw Freddy at Barnet and he wasn't exactly pulling up trees.

So 12 or so minutes is enough time, to 'pull up trees'???

Indeed yes, and let's not forget it was a meagre 12 mins of quite possibly the worst performance of the season where Eastwood was only given the ball once or twice (once of which he put in a delightful cross across goal with the outside of his boot IIRC).

Freddy is still a "game-changer" and other than Tomlin (injured) we don't exactly have many of those.....

Why?

Players train to earn the right to play, so if someone's not pulling their weight or training properly, why should they start ahead of someone who's demonstrating more? That isn't to say that Eastwood's training improperly, I've no idea who's the best or worst trainer at the club, but to suggest that Eastwood has some kind of divine right to game time because of who he is is perverse.

I completely understand the romanticism that's linked with Freddy, everyone was excited prior to the season starting when Eastwood signed on permanently, but the sad fact is he's done precious little to prove himself ahead of other strikers at the club.

Moshni is back because he is one of Sturrocks golden boys. If he wasn't there would be no chance of him being here after what he did.

Sturrock knows best but of course there may be outside elements clouding his judgement.

Example:
Appearance fees
Aggy Agents
Sleeping with the coach's wife
chairman's signed players not manager's.

No argument there. But even if players earn more right to start, they need to earn the right to stay on the pitch for the ninety minutes and those that are below par should be subbed before ninety minutes.

Not according to Sturrock....

Appearance money was something I wondered about, but if it was that much of an issue then we could have just sacked Mohsni instead of paying his wages.
Thing is Sturrock obviously thinks Mohsni will have more of an impact than Freddy.

You dont sub someone just for the sake of it for a lesser player though.

Sorry but I fail to accept that giving FE a chance early enough in a match when say Britt has started but struggled, as has happened too frequently of late, can be deemed either 'for the sake of it' or 'for a lesser player'. If the guy on the pitch is not on song then mix it up. The guy on the bench, whoever it is, may not be first choice but may well give you something more than a first choice player that is struggling.
