Deadpool 2024

Terrible day yesterday with Glynis Johns, Derek Draper and David Soul. Three big names.

Presumably we aren't having a Deadpool thread for 2024, so don't know if this wants to be closed off and just start a new generic thread for reporting those passing?

RIP The Kaiser and JPR. Huge sportsmen of their time in terms of ability, skill and dignity.

Sad news.I liked her inroductions to TOGWT artists back in the day.
"I always enjoyed Annie Nightowl’s shows on Radio Fun back in the late seventies and early eighties, Cap. She was quite a champion of the new wave genre of music when I first started listening to her in early ’78. However, it was her stint on the Whistle Test which I remember well from those days, especially when she interviewed Paul Simon. Dear old Annie, bless her, she asked Paul what it was like writing all the songs now without Art Garfunkel! I was delighted that the editors had left that bit in but I did feel a bit sorry for Annie in that mistaken moment. Annie was interviewing the sole songwriter of Simon & Garfunkel shortly after his album ‘One Trick Pony’ was released in 1980. This track from it, and a single too, always reminds me of her."

The interview where she asked Paul Simon if everyone knew that .And he replied "well I guess everyone but you Annie".Right?
