Dale farm evictions "may breach human rights"

An injuction has been passed against the Council who aren't allowed to proceed with the eviction today, there is a hearing on friday. What a joke!

BBC Breaking: Dale Farm residents win last-gasp injunction restraining Basildon Council from clearing site pending hearing on Friday bbc.in/n1GAfF

The drama continues...

This country is too soft. Absolute joke.

first the bent politicians,
then the bent bankers,
now the pathetic system of justice.
And they say it ain't broke.
The ordinary decent citizen must be wondering why they bother to pay their taxes, send their kids to school and obey the law.
Still the fool of a judge has 4 days to see the error of his ways. Quite pathetic.

Great. More money to add to the £18m bill then.

Knob Jockeys.

So just how can an illegal traveller site gain an injuction against pulling down illegal barracades? Thats me off to the bank in the morning for a loan to build a house on my little plot of land. Don't think i'll bother with the planning permission, whats good for the goose and all that.

It'll be an injunction delaying it only until the court has had a chance to hear their case (and the Council a chance to prepare a defence).

Once the court has heard their case everyone can resume tearing the place down.

How many more courts have got to hear their case, half the judges in the country have heard their sodding case. And its the same case time after time after time.

You will get taken to court and be told to take it down. If you don't you will go to jail.

This country is wrong on so many levels

Slightly off topic but is Barna on holiday or didn't they publish the Gruandiad today?

Channel 4, right now, Dispatches.

Having just watched it, hats off to the leader of the council. The travellers didnt really do themselves any favours and would have probably alienated themselves even further from normal society. Once again, where are the men?

If you let one crime pass because it'd be too expensive to enforce it, then how much would it cost us all when others also decide to break said law?

I can't believe that people honestly believe we should pick and choose which laws we uphold. I bet were the guilty parties bankers then we'd have these same people telling us to "string 'em up"

I notice that the rogue trader "banker" has allegedly cost his city firm 1.2 billion pounds.Cost of removing the Travellers?18 million pounds.
One law for the rich?:winking:

Apparently, last minute talks were cancelled when the Travellers representative, one of the Sheridans was banned from attending by the protesters ??

There is now concern that the Protesters are running the show .

Even the leader of the Gypsy council has said they should go.

So the thugs who hijack every protest going (poll tax, tuition fees, climate change etc etc) have found another excuse for random violence in the name of "protest". Yet I haven't heard of any taking up the cause and helping the uprisings against true authoritarian regimes in the middle east and North africa ? Personally I think the civil rights of millions of Syrians deserve their attention far more that a couple of hundred members of the non touring caravan club

So why don't you set up a thread?

I'd rather be blinkered and know my enemies than embrace all that non-judgemental multi-culti bollocks and find myself on the wrong end of a nail bomb. I assume you think all those 'lads' going to Pakistan are just embarking on an adventure holiday.

I would also assume that young Mo won't be popular with his local imam for 'living in a Briton'.

Maybe they're just visiting relatives?

Just burn the ****ers.

You'd then be breaking the law that you claim as being something that needs to be upheld at all times, and aligning yourself with the "lawless" travellers. In fact regarding the planning issue, they are technically not even criminals as they have not broken any criminal law, just civil offences.

I haven't read full story on today's injunction, bit I'd guess there must be decent legal grounds for it? I'm very sure it's merely a stay of execution... and it did raise a smile thinking of those that have concreted themselves in, it's going to be a long week!

No books to be balanced MK. British muslims fighting in the British Army is fine. I would question how "British" Muslims fighting against the British army can call themselves British.

I imagine they'd call themselves anti-British or anti-British/US Imperialism. But if they're British citizens, by birth(or otherwise),aren't you uncessarily splitting hairs here?

So lets hear it then Barna, and I know you have a reputation for avoiding questions that you are uneasy with, do you think the travellers on the illegal Dale Farm site should be allowed to stay where they are?

This only requires a yes or no answer.
