Dale farm evictions "may breach human rights"

We can but hope
Can't agree with that, no point wishing anyone dead here, they will just have to face up to reality and recognise that yes, they actually DID do something wrong and get on with it.

Time for all the posturing and countless appeals that are making us local tax payers in particular even more cross, and just accept the inevitable. Why the heck do they think it's ok for them to break the law and not face consequences?

Oh oh oh, I've got another idea that could perhaps earn the good owners of SZ a bob or two. Could we not find a clapped out old Transit or Luton from somewhere, not bother taxing or insuring it and just for the one day, lets say this Sunday afternoon from 12 noon onwards do something to help everyone concerned?.

Here's the gist of it. Three of us put on the skankiest clothes we can find. Pile into said transit or Luton. Drive around Dale Farm for a few hours continuously ringing the hell out of an old brass bell shouting at anything that moves that we'd quite happily take off their hands any items of household goods that they're not thinking of taking with them :D And just for good measure if they refuse to hand over the ornate gold plated pot containing the ashes of their long since dead family pony we'd send in Mitch and his 18 month old Staffy to REALLY teach em the error of their ways.

Just an idea like :winking:

Its in their culture. They assume anything they can take is fair game. They consider themselves to have done well if they have successfully conned someone whereas a decent person would be ashamed and the thieving thing is just inbred.

My ex sister in law used to run a burger van near a gypo camp and at the end of the week one of the blokes would come round and give her some money to compensate for the sweets he knew the kids would steal during the week. Very noble? Not really, why not educate the kids not to steal in the first place?

"Travellers tell BBC they are refusing to give up & have been granted another hearing in Crt of Appeal on Monday"

It was metaphorical, much like the original post

coming back from work tonight, I was passed by at least 10 Kent Police transits full of police coming into Chelmsford. Something must be going down I thought. Then I thought again. Wonder where they might be tomorrow.

like the norad one you mean where the kids can track santa, love that site but ive been tracking the BAD PIKEY site for the last ten years and the buggers havnt moved a inch, maybe tomorrow they will....come on.

Just a whiff of the 'human rights' issue and all the great unwashed and unkempt come out of the woodwork and preach their sanctimonious self righteous bullcrap to anyone with a camera that's prepared to listen. Human rights my arse. Go find a feckin tree to hug you free loading waste on society :madman:

Apparently, last minute talks were cancelled when the Travellers representative, one of the Sheridans was banned from attending by the protesters ??

There is now concern that the Protesters are running the show .

Even the leader of the Gypsy council has said they should go.

So the thugs who hijack every protest going (poll tax, tuition fees, climate change etc etc) have found another excuse for random violence in the name of "protest". Yet I haven't heard of any taking up the cause and helping the uprisings against true authoritarian regimes in the middle east and North africa ? Personally I think the civil rights of millions of Syrians deserve their attention far more that a couple of hundred members of the non touring caravan club

Agreed. A reporter on the BBC said that the Travellers themselves were friendly and cordial to them, whilst the protesters threatened violence if they were filmed. I wonder who's claiming more benefits.......

I think this whole affair is very sad but had to laugh at reports from Dale Farm this morning that the petrol for the Sky new generator has gone missing.

There was an 18 year old Yorkshire lad fighting in Libya... told his mum he was going in lads holiday!

When did someone called Mohammed, who was born in Libya and lives in Manchester, qualify as a 'Yorkshire Lad'? Look for him to be strapping on a rucksack and clambering aboard a mass transit system near you soon.

18 year old lives in Briton, travels to Africa to help fight a dictator and instead of earning your respect you say he'll probably be a suicide bomber on his return. Tad blinkered that view.
