No entry to the ground and West stand bar till 6.30. I asked a supervisor why we couldn't get in and was told she hadn't been told to open up at 6.00. Epic fail as they couldn't arrange a ****-up in a football ground.
I assume that might be because the stewards, turnstile operators etc. don't have to clock in until just before 6 for midweek games. Then they need a quick pre match brief. So even if bar staff have to start at 5.30, it's probably not possible to get into the ground at 6.

Really good interview and just nice to listen to a chairman who doesn't chat nonsense and talking to fans like idiotic peasants.

There were a few on here that claimed the back of the west stand would be getting an upgrade in the off-season. I can't see that happening if they haven't even looked at plans properly yet. Those plans then have to be submitted and approved, and as we well know, that can take a long while.

Would have been nice to get a rough timeframe on the temporary buildings at the training ground.

Interesting that he totally avoided the Kensdale situation. Jeez what has this lad done? It's crazy there has been no official update about his departure or further action.

Overall, it's great that the club are communicating and are listening to fans in general. Onwards and upwards!

He wouldn't be able to provide any comment on an internal investigation, but they'll always be an official announcement when any player leaves, without details.

Fair play to Justin for giving the wider fanbase insight into what's currently happening at Southend. Speaks well tbf..... I feel quietly confident of progressive future for Southend going forward.

Now that is a great idea. Well done COSU.

Supporters will now have a direct way to give the Club feedback after attending matches at Roots Hall through a new online form, further strengthening the voice fans have going forward.

Following on from this morning's Fan Advisory Board announcement, the new feedback form gives supporters the opportunity to provide their thoughts on topics such as matchday experience, stewarding, bars and food, toilets, ticketing, signage and much more.

With this new initiative, the Club is taking another step towards ensuring that supporters have a direct, meaningful platform to share their views with us.

Match-going fans can participate by scanning the Fan Feedback Form QR code that will be situated at various locations around the stadium concourses in poster points. Whether you’ve been a lifelong supporter or have recently joined the Shrimpers family, your feedback is crucial.

You will be able to give a rating out of five on your area and concern and will also find a comment box to explain the score and go into detail about your experience at a game. Each month, we'll be selected someone at random who has given us feedback, with a number of prizes available.

The Club has also increased its steps to listen to supporters’ feedback by introducing a dedicated email address, which is feedback@southend-united.co.uk.

Hmm, Jack Bridge’s comments on BBC Essex tonight saying, something like, ‘this season has had a lot of things happening as well even though we’ve had the takeaway, with the takeover, it hasn’t been as smooth as people would think it would be and there has still been a lot of issues and things to over come’

Did anyone else pick-up on this, hope he just means the training ground, catch-up on pre-season and nothing to really knock them off their stride.

Very refreshing chat with Justin. Seems to be taking it all in his stride. I do feel like there is some thing(s) we aren’t being told just now (not just the Kensdale controversy) but not much we can do about it. I do agree communication was somewhat lacking but this week things do appear to be progressing but we’ve got to remember they’ve been in charge for less than 2 months and had lots and lots to deal with.

The takeover wasn’t as smooth as people thought it would be - it took ages!

A great idea, but what about the fans who don't take their phone to a game ( i don't! ) , and those who don't use their phone to scan a QR code?.
