I don't see what's wrong with shouting, in a very loud voice, 'Oi matey, do you speak English??)Depends where you're going on your hols I suppose. If you studied French at school then its probably easier to pick up again now.If not I'd say Spanish was easier to learn.
Just seen on the news about how many billions the govt will need to borrow to cover the virus costs. How about borrowing it from China and then refuse to pay it back

I feel for you guys. Even when restrictions are lifted and people can fly I think there will be a massive downturn from the usual business they get. Firstly a lot of people who have been financially affected by this crisis will be cutting back on non essentials like holidays. Secondly (and this is the bracket I fall into), people will be wary of jumping on a plane where the air is recirculated and catching the virus. I always seem to pick up a cold or something after flying I just wouldn't risk it.
Hope you and Kev find a way through this
Yeah this it the key point, IMO.
As I’ve mentioned over the years, I love Las Vegas, and visit semi-regulary (9 times in 12 years). I keep up to date with the latest goings-on over there, and no more so, than right now.
I had been mentally planning my next trip for later this year, however, I’ll be giving it a miss for a while.
I have absolutely no faith or trust, in the place being safe.
That old saying ‘avoid it like the plague’, has never been more apt, than right now.

I'd rather not start a war. Lockdown won't work when our houses are obliterated by nuclear blasts.
I have been to Vegas once and whilst it is a spectacle I disliked the clientele.
I have worked in the US quite a bit and have found the vast majority of Americans to be extremely polite but Vegas attracted the very worst of them.

I have a couple of cruises booked and had an email today stating that all booked cruises up to the 31st July are now cancelled.
I guessed it it would be so no real great shock tbh and given what has being going on I am not too fussed.
On the plus side of this though I can get a full refund or if I choose to book another cruise with this company they will will give us a credit note of 125%

125% sounds good but you have to wonder whether Cruise Companies will survive this whole business and be around next year.
I've got Ibiza booked for mid-September. Not counting on it though.
Yes, I would take the refund. Even if they survive, all the travel experts say travel between countries will be much more expensive. So next years price, you might not want the cruise
Whilst I understand the reasoning , and I’m certainly not going to try to make a case against ‘travel experts’ , surely there must also be some element of needing to entice customers with offers ?
Just using basic supply and demand?
