Crickey guys, there's been an awful lot of gonad comparison going on in this thread. Even though it is the first proper Essex derby for years I doubt that (a) the ground will be completely full, and (b) we will take more than 2000. Either way it doesn't really matter. The only things that really matter are that we are going head to head again and we have proof positive that there is more than one Col Ewe fan, as proven by this thread. So at the absolute worse there will be 2002 fans in the Stadium on boxing day. Bring it on I say.

All good fun RHB, it is great to have the Essex derby back to have banter about again, that's probably about the only thing we can all agree on!

I wonder how many we have sold so far? There will be a mad rush for general sale if tehre are limited tickets left. I will be one of them making a mad dash for them next thursday!

Figures I heard yesterday were about 1,300 to 1,400 so probably sold a few more today. I would hope Colchester will give us the extra 900 tickets then there will be enough for all that want to go.

Be nice to have ticket updates for the bigger games via the official site or other twitter.

Personally think that if we can take what's looking like 1000 plus to sheffield united at the weekend then we will sell out 2000 to col u with ease

getting a bit nervous at the moment. the enfield blue family always go to sufc boxing day football. this year need five tickets. so instead of laying in bed on my birthday (Nov 19) I'm now having to get up at the crack of dawn to queue at roots hall. if I can't buy five, then I'm gonna have to drag my son down as well (it's his day off)

Bought a half season card today to get my Col U ticket. Ticket office said I had to pay an extra £5 to pay with a debit card. I wasn't going to quibble for the sake of a fiver given I was there etc but I spent £120 the week before on Sheff Utd tickets with a debit card - no charge (rightly so)

On the plus side, I'm going Col U

As stated above, it would be good if the club put out a sales update at the end of day trading....esp for this one....please

As said previously I would be happy to get 3 as I can walk to the ground, if i don't not the end of the world, the upside is that I don't contribute to Colchester coffers! Would be galling as i suspect there would be some going who would ask who is the number....who don't regularly go home or away but hey ho.

If the away end is full, there always the home end ;) I still remember us beating them 3-0 at Layer Rd in March 2006, most of us sat in the home end!

Sold out online. Not sure if that means totally sold out but must be getting close if not.
I can see Colchester giving us the extra tickets now.

If the ewes keep loosing and let in more goals then maybe they will not be wanting to be there (the inbreds).
And if it keeps raining how will the "sand pit" be?
