Think someone said at the weekend that anything less than 1000 would be disapointing for Sheff Utd. Based on what I've seen on here it looks like 1500 could be reasonable. As for pricing, I've paid £20 for me and £9 for my son. For Col Utd I've paid £16 for me and he goes free which for such a big game is excellent on their part.

Yes get in early as you have and the price is decent, nearer the game they go up every couple of weeks, full price for those £16 tickets will be £23 on the day.

C and P; What's the chances of Col Ewe "doing a Morecambe", i.e giving us lot half of another stand, should we sell out on our allocation.....more bums in seats = more money on food, programmes etc, etc :winking:

If you sell out your current allocation and your club ask for more you will get around another 1000 seats (Total 2900) next to the north stand in the east stand, you can see the shaded area if you look at the online ticketing for the game. Those tickets will be more expensive than the ones behind the goal though. There will be a slight empty area of a few hundred seats between the two sets of supporters and the other end will be used for home fans including the family area next to the south stand. However if the home fans continue to buy in large numbers we may turn down the request for additional tickets. My personal guess is we won't sell 7000 home seats so if your club asks for them they will be provided.

Yes great on their part, they could try and rake it in for this match. The £16 isn't too shabby either, especially for a new stadium, Millwall's £26 looks a real joke in contrast.

Depends where you sit and how soon before the game you purchase the tickets, fans sitting on the side in seats near the half way line would pay up to £31 per game at the WHCS.

No offence C & P,

But, I think your online ticket booking system is about as an accurate as ours!!

If our long awaited essex derby as you say has been on sale on your official site, since the start of the season (i presume that would apply to all fixtures surely?)..... So how did you only manage a measley 2,000+ crowd to a 3,000 +crowd (including away support!!) out of 6 of your 9 home games so far this season? and Now your claiming you have sold 5,000 home tickets already?

Thats be honest, your chances of selling 5,000 tickets right now at this moment in time, are about on the same level as the chances that we switch at half time for tomorrows JPT game With Piggot & Weston With Messi & Ronaldo!!

Why the hell would we want to down grade at half time ?

I know what you mean mate but that is what the club said, I have been buying tickets for family on the system this morning and it was difficult to buy 3 seats together in a decent part of the South stand I would say it is about 75% full which is 1500 fans on it's own. I have no reason not to believe the seats sold on the online system it would not help the club if they show seats sold when they are not, although I do realise the club may inflate the tickets sold in press communcations to try and encourage people to rush over and buy more! Yes you are correct all fixtures have been online to buy since the start of the season but this one is attracting a lot more interest than all the others, maybe it is all away fans!! :stunned:

That comment gave me a flashback to 2006 when we played Chelsea away, I remember looking at their subs bench and thinking OMG, Lampard, Joe Cole, Crespo, Carlton Cole, Pidgeley we did well to only lose 3-1!

Many thanks for that....much appreciated

there are 3 reasons for this. firstly is that boxing day games always attract a bigger crowd at colchester regardless of opposition. 2nd is that with advance ticket prices being so reasonable and most people going to the game knowing they will be off well in advance that they might as well take advantage of the prices. 3rd and probably the biggest factor is that the 2 clubs havent played each other for 5 years or so.
