Anyone got a spare ticket?
I like your audacity henry, and while I admire the fact that you had the foresight to jump the gun so to speak and get in there early in your request for a spare ticket, I feel your inexperience is showing here,..... firstly there will be many posts in the coming weeks, with the same request.... and secondly...there is at least a dozen of us auctioning a kidney (or other vital organs) right now on ebay in return for a spare ticket!!

If there are some unsold tickets or you dont think you will sellout home end makes sense all round to give Southend more tickets.Be a good earner for your clubThis sounds like "fun", lets hope my club answer your plea quickly to put you out of your misery, I honestly don't know which way this will go, they may prefer to keep that area free in case home fans want them or just leave the whole section closed for security. We have been known to refuse extra ticket requests when there is no chance of them being needed for home fans, it will probably largely depend on whether Robbie like's your club or not!
haha just logged into my Col U ticket account, had to go in home end last time when Moussa scored right in line with where I was sitting  At least I have an option if I can't get in the away end. I have a postcode approx 70 miles away from Southend.I'm pretty sure col u will implement some kind of policy involving local postcodes or databases.

I've just had a really rough count of tickets availabe to buy for home fans in various blocks stands -
East Stand (only half on sale currently as North-end of this stand can be given to away fans or opened up to home fans) - Only about 320 tickets left to buy
South Stand - Only around 450 available
West Stand - Has around 750ish available (but quite a few of these seats can be taken up by hospitality etc)
Given there is still over a month to buy tickets (and a big chunk of people pay on the gate currently) South will totally sell out as will all currently availabe in the East - West stand (most expensive by a long way) may have some capacity.
Gut feeling is that they will keep an eye on how sales progress over next week and then make a decision - the problem with the 4 potentially availabe blocks in the East Stand is it would be very difficult to further segregate (so if away fans were in one of those blocks the rest couldn't be made available to home fans due to access, concourse and segregation. Setting aside whether Essex Police will have a view (or say) personally I doubt that you'll be given any further tickets though.
If you were thinking of buying in the home stands I wouldn't recommend doing so in the South Stand, but for sensible family type chaps who won't be stupid then West Stand (blocks 8 or 9 would your best bet as these are nearest to away fans and don't tend to attract any of the most "energetic" types!

Good advice NEWS (See what I did there!) well done on putting in a bit of work on this, I do think we will struggle to sell all of the East stand if we open up the North part as well, but if the club think they can sell a good part of them I think they might not part with any more tickets. Like I said it is a gamble either way, I wonder how many boxes have been sold, they all looked like they were being used against Coventry on Saturday.

With the game only a few weeks away surely if Col Utd fans were looking at going to the game they would have bought their tickets by now, with the odd exception. Cant see them suddenly selling another 2000 or so, they simply dont have that many fans. With the obvious risk of Southend fans getting in the home ends which i believe many already have done, surely it makes sense to offer us the maximum possible.
I will be trying to get tickets in the home end if we are not given anymore. Just need to find someone with a cm postcode.
Just out of interest and with Coventry possibly your biggest game of the season, how many Cov fans were there Saturday, i think the crowd was around 5300 or so
