I can't see it improving, to be honest I think you will smash us out of sight, the team are all over the place at present they are not bad players but the tactics and formation are *!!"*"!!!

I'm hoping for a complete humiliation for you lot, one of those games that will live on in the memories of both sets of supporters:winking:

All for rivalry but you are talking utter toilet! - there are currently only 677 tickets availabe to buy for home fans (albiet block E3 isn't currently on sale but most, if not all, of that will be left for segregation.

For all the talk about hundreds in the home I sincerely doubt that but if they are and keep schtum and don't cause any hassle then fair play - It will be pretty much sold out before the day, there will be a riduculous amount of police around stadium, in car-parks etc and I suspect that they will operate a policy of ejecting away fans in home areas if they are detected (purely on Police advice as nowhere to relocate them to)

On current form/balance of probabilities you will stuff us and it will be a high scoring game, but most U's fans live in hope that we'll have the famous "new manager bounce" and nick a win - if I was a betting man I wouldn't be putting any money on that though.

Obviously I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a truly awful Boxing Day!

I hope your sister/lover leaves you for your borther, you have a really **** Christmas and an even ******* Boxing Day.

Not ticket related but does anyone know if you can get a pint before the game either in the ground or near by?

I said this further up the thread on post 515 with regards to food and drink Streaky. Depends what you want, there is a Cafe at the ground that will be open on matchday it is called hotshots and serves hot and cold food and drink. There is also various catering outlets and we normally open the concourse underneath the Southstand well before the game where you can buy food and drink and watch the live match on the TV's or listen to the live local band, there is a different one each home game on a small stage area set up behind the South stand. There is a McDonalds very close to the ground near the A12 and a Marks and Spencers food outlet near the A12 petrol services opposite the stadium. There are several pubs within 2-3 miles of the ground if you want to drive there 1st but being Boxing day they may only be open for bookings. Not great fare I know but trust me there is no shortage of food and drink outlets at the ground despite what you may hear from others.

Message for CAP or NEWS - what are the chances of parking on residential roads in the Mile End area on a match day? I was thinking of leaving the car here and walking up Boxted Road rather than braving the traffic at the Park and Ride.

just done a quick double check to make sure (am I paranoid or what) park and ride is open on boxing day for football traffic only. £3 per car.

Very few do that SG because the club have stewards on most roads near to the stadium advising you not to park there but in reality they have no legal control over it. My advice would be to get there early and use one of the other car parks such as Rapid Electronics only £2 if you don't mind a 20 minute walk up Axial Way and United Way postcode CO4 5JS.
