If you had said this then I would have advised you to go directly to Steve Kavanagh. It may still be worth doing so.

Its fine, I don't expect any special treatment or advantage over anyone else trying to obtain tickets, even to be on the line for a hour to be told their sold out would've been acceptable, just being cut off and then the announcement coming a hour or so later on whilst trying to get back through annoyed me. I'm going to get a email off to the commercial director as posted in the other thread anyway.

Would just like to add why a season ticket holder could only purchase one ticket per person but two per person on general sale. Also certain clubs operate a count back system depending on how many away games you have attended during the season.

Nice idea but never going to happen at Southend. We are in this situation maybe once or twice a season and we're not going to overhaul the ticket system for that. Plus a lot of grounds you just pay on the turnstiles, they're not interested in getting your details because they're not marketing to you. So how do you prove you went to that game?

Are these certain clubs a lot bigger than us, by chance?

So we have sold all these Col Ewe tickets and they will get about £50 000 + from OUR fans for their coffers.
First game of the season Fleetwood got a very good amount from the Shrimping Legions that went there.
Last game of the season Bury will get, very likely, another earner from our diehards.
Scunny will get double Shrimp pounds from our TWO visits to their shanty shed end.

And we will be lucky if these 3 clubs bring a fifth of our numbers in fans to us.

Away games first, last, FA Cup and Boxing Day! Best 4 fixtures? arguably the most financially lucrative and we have just be MADE to give money to what could be classed as close rivals in terms of funding streams to survive in this football climate.

We need a JPT run IMO as the FA have not played "fair" and we have been 4 times unlucky in the spinning wheel of fixture fortune.

That £50k (May be a little less than that) will help our cash flow, Ron may not hand it over to Col U until the middle of next year!

Yes, just bought over the phone from SUFC a wheelchair and carer tickets for Colchester Away.

There are good facilities at the WHCS for the disabled HudsonNo1 with lifts up to raised viewing areas at the back of 3 of the stands, if you can't obtain tickets from Southend it may be worth a call or email to Colchester United just in case they have one available although I know normally they sell out most of the time.

the commercial director called me on an issue. In discussion he mentioned that or new system is actually used by some of the biggest prem clubs. He has used it in a previous role and is looking to use functionality that we don't use today. It's all small steps but the online system is improved, cup tickets on season tickets, even something as simple as alloweing supporters to pick up tickets from the west stand on match day. That is so simple, but no one else managed to do it
