Do you think that the fact they can already do that with every single league game has significantly affected attendances? (genuine non-sarky question). Personally I can't afford tickets or to travel to Roots Hall very often (Few hundred miles round trip and I'm poor) and if the games weren't streamed I wouldn't be buying a ticket instead to any more games than I already do. I pay £25 a month to NLTV to watch us when I can't get there. They will but at 15:00hrs on Saturday they will be at RH.
If it was streamed then there would a significant drop on the attendance because plenty have a snide £40/50 per year connection. Some post the most negative comments on here about the club whilst clearly watching at home on their fire stick
I think it's just people who prefer to stand. I would like the option and the quicker safe standing/terracing comes to our ground the better. What I find interesting is that when the West stand is “busy” in certain matches, when I glance towards the back, there seems to be a lot of folks standing behind the last row of seating
Overspill ? or crap view seats ??
Being able to watch matches on TV has an effect on attendances. Although by today's standards our gates are excellent in the 1950's and 60's an attendance of 10000 would have been below average. Yet the population of S E Essex was a lot less in those days and people on average were poorer than today. Of course, there was very little football on TV in that time. Football is at least if not more popular nowadays including more interest from women. The difference now is that people are fans of various clubs but never watch them live. Sadly this will always be the case due to saturation TV coverage which takes no account of the real fans who go to games and are messed about by changes to kick off times just to suit armchair followers. So frustrating.Do you think that the fact they can already do that with every single league game has significantly affected attendances? (genuine non-sarky question). I'm aware that it has had an overall effect on attendances up and down the country but it could be argued that in changing times the lack of ability to watch their chosen team in a pub/living room as opposed to the big teams the broadcasters have chosen to show is why so many clubs have lost their fanbase to the top tier.Being able to watch matches on TV has an effect on attendances. A Charlton work colleague and season ticket holder just told me all away tickets are sold and he couldn't get one.
Not worth televising though…Pretty sure that now we have given Charlton more tickets, we will have the highest 1st round crowd out of all the games and also our highest 1st round home crowd since 1971.
Figure looks much better now a extra thousand is added to away, might get closer to 10k in for this? That’s about what it’s been for the last few seasons. Around 8,000 home fans inc hospitality. Then 800 odd max away. Just under 9,000 if all sold.

And as all will be paying for this cup spinner the ££££ are most welcome.
How much goes to Charlton? 30% or less?
