Brawn GP

steveo

mine to stay the same please
Car looks nice and simple. Not too many odd aero bits bolted on.

Cant think Ross Brawn would want to be associated with a non competitive set up so hopefully they will do ok.

Button went pretty quick in it I believe. Would be great to see a car go fast which isn't plastered in sponsors messages!

Also hats off to Button for agreeing to take a 50% pay cut. I applaud his socialist principles

I imagine it will have aquired a few sponsors names by the start of the season

Good to see Mclaren struggling too ;)

But I know exactly how it will go for them. **** in testing and awesome in the actual races.

I can't wait for this season to start, Button in a decent car. Alonso 2009 champion and no ****ing adverts!! WOOO!!

Look out, Beardy Branson's about.

And, hate to burst your bubble Ricey, but McLaren are looking crap.

Button's 6/1 for Sports Personality of the Year apparently. HE'S ONLY BLOODY GOT POLE!

Hamilton 1 - 0 Alonso

Even though the McLaren is looking pretty ****.

Have to applaud BBC's interactive coverage. Whilst the race was on live, Chipper and I had the onboard channel on via their website. Absolutely superb watching the true and very evident genius of Lewis Hamilton quietly going about his business, at the back of the grid with a middle-of-the-field car (at best) and consistently moving through the field, thanks to his cockpit camera.

Great to see Jenson's natural ability shine, too, when given a decent car again. He has a style that as smooth as silk and such was his skill that there was never any doubt he would win.

Not a bad day for the British. Not bad at all.

Why they couldnt of just left it as it was with Trulli in 3rd with his points and Hamilton in 4th with his points is beyond me! I thought Vettel's punishment was a joke aswell.

But just wait for the biggy that will come soon when this diffuser row comes to and end and Ferrari get their own way. Brawn will be stripped of all their points! Which is a complete and utter joke and I think I will consider giving up watching the sport if that happens.

FIA isn't called Ferrari International Assistance for nothing.

I do not think, for a single moment, any penalties would have been handed out had either Ferrari won the race or a podium finish.

Formula One has a plethora of great drivers and pit crews at the moment. What a shame it's being completely spoilt by the suits, which in Max Moseley's case also extends to uniforms.

I've read and reread 3 different articles about this now. So Hamilton was expelled for this:

"The stewards having considered the new elements presented to them from the 2009 Australian formula one grand prix, consider that driver No1 Lewis Hamilton and the competitor Vodafone McLaren Mercedes acted in a manner prejudicial to the conduct of the event by providing evidence deliberately misleading to the stewards at the hearing on Sunday 29 March 2009, a breach of Article 151c of the International Sporting Code.

Under Article 158 of the International Sporting Code the driver No1 Lewis Hamilton and the competitor Vodafone McLaren Mercedes are excluded from the race classification for the 2009 Australian grand prix and the classification is amended accordingly."

Er... what exactly? there is no evidence or explanation given whatsoever. No wonder McLaren aren't appealing. They're not sure WHAT it is they're appealing against????
