You're absolutely right, apologies. My original stat was regarding our form in the last 5 games and I didn't make that clear.Nearer one than your claimed two

Or you could say Josh and Bonne work well together and good at closing games to the end, in fact Josh Walker was absolutely free with the goal at his mercy at the time he was hacked down and perhaps we might have saw more of that had he'd not been smashed in two and forced off the pitch. It's true you have to win ugly at times so I haven't got many compliments where that is concerned but those substitutions on the 64 minute when the game is only 1-0 is bit risky and could of easily backfired...... 3/4 up then with 30 minutes to go by all means rest your better players but not at 1-0, Giving your opponents the opportunity to get a result. Thought that was poor management from Maher, on another day he wouldn't have been so lucky. 30 minutes is long time in football match given its must win game with bit of local rivaly added to this particular game.
Was this a Freudian slip @Liam AAS, or do you think @wiggy may be a split personality? This is a post match thread looking at our performance yesterday. It was a good, if unglamorous performance and we got the 3 points, continuing a run of good form.
There are loads of other entirely fair talking points that you've highlighted but my point was in relation to asking @wiggy what would make them happy given our upturn in results (including this one).
It was deliberate but I'd rather not have a side-chat about pronoun useage on SZ if you don't mind haha.
They didn't work well together. Bim and Kendall were working well together up till 64 minute, I could understand taking off Kendall for Walker to add bit of freshness up top but to change both your attackers who were working well and causing problems to the opponents with still 30 minutes plus to go is bit risky which could of easily lead to different outcome interms of the result. If we are 3/4 up then rest your better players but not when it's only 1-0. It wasnt an easy watch after that. For starters we were only playing with 10 as were were waiting what seemed an eternity, to get Walker's replacement on.
That's what the ignore option is for. Improves SZ so muchYou are so negative it's unreal. You actually enjoy moaning
Genuine Q: if they're both working well together, why could you agree with subbing one and breaking that partnership but not both? They didn't work well together. Bim was on a Yellow and the Braintree players were targeting him so was the correct decision to take him off. Whether it was right to take Kendall off or not is another matter. They didn't work well together. Because bim our main supply for goals, not just his scoring ability but his all round play. Braintree defenders couldn't deal with him at times.Genuine Q: if they're both working well together, why could you agree with subbing one and breaking that partnership but not both?

We won but if the result ended 1-1 we would all by questioning the substitutions. Luckily for us Braintree didn't offer lot in the final third. We won the game though?
If winning games is now classed as poor management then football truly is gone.
Don't fink so.It was deliberate but I'd rather not have a side-chat about pronoun useage on SZ if you don't mind haha.
Based on @Tangled up in Blue 's reply, I think they might be one and the same!
They offered a lot in the final third against Dagenham - maybe there was a decent defensive performance from us alongside the luck?We won but if the result ended 1-1 we would all by questioning the substitutions. Luckily for us Braintree didn't offer lot in the final third.

Wouldn't go to far as to say it was decent defensive performance, more due to the lack of quality Braintree had in the final third which made it easier to defend. They offered a lot in the final third against Dagenham - maybe there was a decent defensive performance from us alongside the luck?

....or could it be Husin is not the confident player he once was?Two wins on the bounce very welcome but the questions won't go away and they are always the same ones. It was a poor game, Pepple again making all the difference between two uninspiring sides. One moment epitomises the problem. We start a move inside our own half. For once there is plenty of movement off the ball. Braintree defenders scuttling back in disarray. Husin, in acres of space around the centre circle, receives the ball, turns 360 degrees and passes it back, killing any momentum and the prospect of an attempt on goal. Sums up the philosophy of the coaching staff, play it safe and keep possession. The lack of ambition is never going to achieve a playoff challenge. As for the substitutions, words fail.
Well we won—just about, against woe ful opposition.
Why on earth does he keep refusing to start with the partnership that was developing so well,Pepple and Bonne, which would surely have had us 3 or 4 goals up before the hour mark when he imagines he HAS TO make changes.
Kendall looks ok but should be able to chase back so play him on the left. There was one occasion when Bridge got round his man.
Yes,that had to be a red card ! Quite apart from the ugly and deliberate nature of the assault, Walker was racing at great speed on a completely clear path towards goal.
