Some sources are saying that Peterborough have made a bid, others saying that they haven't. Which is true?

Do not think we intend to sell- and if Peterborough really wanted him they should have come in earlier not just before the season starts. Really think the mindset is at the moment lets get out of this league based on keeping our key players for now. Remember we rejected 150-200k offer for Mohsni in Jan so I dont think we are in a position where we roll over where we just get a decent bid (happily)

all i can say is what do u fink ron wants????

their chairman Darrgh MacAnthony said on twitter "he is on a list of talented youngsters for future, and we made a call about him"

I would sell Ferdinand for 500k with a 25% sell on fee plus their striker who is good enough for League 2 but not good enough for their 1st team in Championship! - if they cannot offer that, then they should bugger off! I like to think its can spark a bidding war between Boro, Ipswich & West Ham & watch the price go up!

Wonder if they are tapping up our player, release news leak to Sky of £300k bid, then deny making bid, but are very interested in him, just to turn Kane's head?

Agree with this. The chances of his value going up are much higher than it going down, if we can afford to keep him then not only will we probably increase our asset but will also have his playing ability on the pitch. If he was out of contract next year then that would be another matter, but he's not.

I'm not sure about that. Clearly if heimproves and has a great season then yeah. But lets not foget he's had half a season and done "quite well". But if he doesn't kick on, then...well how many Division 4 midfielders are worth £300k?

The attributes the lad has are clear to see. He has the air of quality about him and I can only see him affirming that reputation this season.

great player, would love to keep him but if it meant getting 300k plus for him and then we use some of that cash towards get RR and also a top league 2 striker then i'm all for selling him for the greater good of the squad. we have good cover in midfield although no one quite like him who can control the midfield with little effort. tough one though.

So you don't think he learnt from his time at Preston then seeing as he got Posh promoted last season ?

What's the motivation & reasoning for your comment I don't understand it ?

Posh got promoted from League One, the same as they did with him before.

The only experience Ferguson has in the CCC is to manage teams in the bottom three.

Posh got relegated, which isnt a shock, and he then managed Preston and again relegated.

He has no pedigree of doing anything in the Championship....
