I'm pleased with the design but feel as if the sponsor logo is a bit squished onto only half the shirt. Would've looked better with no stripe and the logo central. Of course not keen on Ron Martins "choice of sponsor" but if its what it takes to speed up the fossetts farm progress then i can live with it.

Unless I am mistaken there is a cap we can spend on wages based on turnover. Sponsorship counts as turnover. I wonder if the inter co support is being channeled through sponsorship to boost rev and keep within the cap? That would explain why you would turn down 50k if you needed a bigger revenue to maintain anticipated wage bill- probably the Martin Dawn sponsorship will show as significantly bigger than 50k even if the total from Ron' companies is the same.

If so people should either stop complaining or identify which of our higher earners they would like to see go..

I realize this may be a rather positive scenario (and hence probably strictly verboten) but I believe I am allowed a positive post under the forums rules :-)

Whilst there is logic to that, why then did we not let MD sponsor the home shirt and allow the company who offered 50K to sponsor the away shirt, which was suggested?

That would increase turnover even more and is where that theory falls down somewhat.

Maybe they did offer that deal but the company insisted that £50K was for both home and away....

I guess we'll never know the truth and even if we did it's not going to change matters now.

I'm quite liking the idea of getting a Nike shirt from here for £13.50 - can wear team colours without advertising Ron's company!

No they didnt from what I have been told.

They offered 50k+ for sponsorship and when told not enough offered for it to be just for one, they were then told that SUFC were going to go with MD on both (which may have been due to time restraints).

Nice spot on those links, shame they dont do kids!

Ah, OK - didn't realise that, can't understand it either then!

They do kids sizes too (£10.50) - here's the links:

You can get a badge embroidered on there for £3.50 too....

In all seriousness why does it have a black armband on it? If we do have to wear black armbands how will anyone know the difference?

Sorry to update this, but this is a classic way to show the quality difference between Avec and Nike, mile better

Miles better? I thought we were told that all of these shirts are made in the same factories in the far east.

Also, if Avec were providing the replica shirts, they'd be charging the same sort of price as all of the other team shirts. Barnsley's shirt is £44.

Got the voltage cherry 3rd kit through, minus the Martin Dawn logo, half the price ha ha
