Poor! Sponsor sucks as well! Plain yellow would have been better, not sure about the black stripes on it. Think i'll leave it and save £44!

Another missed opportunity by SUFC, AVEC would have produced a miles better kit.

Of all the companies SUFC deal with or in the local area, we get MD again :-(

You may not like it and its all down to personal taste, but 69% of people so far saying its ok/love it and another 10% love the shirt but not the sponsor, so not sure how you can class it as a missed opportunity, just because you dont like it yourself.

Cant please all the people all of the time, but after voltage cherry and Hull's shirt its a massive improvement, but thats just my opinion.

I think it is ok. I wont be parting with any money for it though, as I refuse to promote an RM "business"

:smiles:

Swallow your pride and wear it!..........or is that a house-MARTIN, could never tell the difference. What does that firm do? are they into bird conservation or something similar? Actually I don't think the logo design is that bad.

Here's what I think...

Fossets Farm will start soon and the development, over the course of the sponsorship deal (maybe 2 years?) will come to fruition.

Our shirts will be advertising the name of the developer of the whole project, which RM may see as valuable marketing for MD going forward.

The money isn't an issue really. If someone else sponsored us it just means it's less money for Ron to find so you would think, logically, that he would want outside investment, unless of course, there is special value in having the MD brand visible on the shirts... as there could be be going forward. It isn't about what they were or are, but maybe it's what they may become.

And there you have it. I would like to just say that I never ever want to disappoint my fans/critics/detractors/stalkers by not being able to find a positive out of every single situation, no matter how hopeless the cause may be.

I thank you.

2nd that totally agree!!!!!!!

The club need to explain why they turned down £50k and used Martin Dawn as the sponsor. Everyone knows we are short on money. This will anger a lot of fans, not just those on SZ. Maybe the £50k he turned down is being made up for by car park charges for cup games :winking:

What opportunity was missed? You do realise all these football shirts all come out the same factories right?

Pretty good viewpoint, no idea if there is any validity in it though!

One point is that we from what I heard we did turn down a substantial amount so it wasnt like we were desperate.

Well thats the thing, are we?

If Ron is £50k short then he's the one who has to make it up. Doesn't make sense unless there's something we don't know (see my super optimistic post above).

plain yellow with the logo central would have worked, squeezing the sponsorship logo onto just one half the shirt doesnt! looks terrible with the offset logo!

Needs to be brought up in the Q&A with SK

The strip is so,so.Why the black armband ? Are SUFC going to the wall this season !! As for Martin Dawn as sponsor,I would be very surprised if any money has changed hands. Even if the stadium goes ahead,we've waited since 1999.The supporters have been taken for a ride in this time, thanks to RM,Gk et al. Going back to the strip, the new royal blue and white home shirt is acceptable, but why change both strips every season ? Change just one.

Happy with this. Much nicer than away kits of previous seasons. The sponsor isn't ideal, but the logo suits it very well, and the slightly offset image is very quirky. Now let's wait to see how the logo works on the home kit, and then it seems like it'll be quite a tough decision in choosing between these two kits.

Finally, kits to be proud of!
