Born in Chelmsford, moved to Rayleigh when I was 4. Lived in Northampton for 3 years whilst at university, back in Rayleigh now.

Born just outside Vancouver, lived there until I was 4½.

Parents came back to the UK and we lived briefly in Westcliff-on-sea (Anerley Rd, just of HCR) before moving to Nobles Green, Eastwood.

Aged 8, my parents then moved us all to Brazil. Aged 10, I was sent back to school in the UK because the schooling in Brazil wasn't great. Until 18, I boarded in Northamptonshire & Rutland, but my parents came back and Lived in Nobles Green again (where I spent my holidays) while I was aged 11 - 17.

When I was 17, my parents moved to Exmouth, Devon. Luckily, just before they left, I went to Roots Hall for the first time to see us beat Birmingham City 2-1, and was totally hooked. I went to an Exeter City game not long afterwards, but thankfully I knew my heart had already been given to the Shrimpers.

Aged 19, I lived in Devon with my parents for a bit, before they left for Brazil again - and before I went travelling for 9 months. I then came to study and subsequently to live in London. I've been here for the last 16 years, living in Pimlico, Greenwich and now St. Johns (halfway between Lewisham & Brockley). My parents have been out of the UK for that entire period.

So, it was sheer luck that - just before my parents left Southend - I discovered the footballing love of my life.

Born in Waltham Forest until I was 2. Moved to Barking until I was 9, moved to Basildon until June last year and now live in Southend :)

Moving further east all the time - next location will probably be in the English Channel/North Sea and then onto Holland.....

My dad was born in Ayrshire and lived there til he was 8, My dad signed up with this name but never posted, I can never think of a good username for anything so I just took this one over.

Yet another one to be born in Rochford Hospital and grew up in Westcliff where I lived until 18.Second generation Shrimper, as my parents were both season ticket holders in the East Stand, until we were relegated for the first time from the old Div 3 in 1965/6
After a "gap" year on the buses in Southend, as a clippie for Eastern National, I did a degree in Brum and basically never came back.
Lived in Manchester,Kent, and London before moving to Barcelona in 1978.Returned to London for a year in 1980/1 but took off again to live first in Montpellier then San Sebastian before returning to Barna in 1983 where I've been ever since.
Proud to be a Blue and of my Essex roots but don't think I'll ever come back permanently.Planning to retire in France in the not too distant future :-)

born in southend live in southend and probably will always live in southend, although may go uni, went to my first game when i was 8 and then my dad started taking me regularly and dont think ill ever stop!

I was born in Rochford and lived in Rayleigh up until few months back where i now live at Roots Hall Drive. I haven't been to a Southend game since i was 13 and wanna go again but a bit scared.
