Still expect you guys to be competing near the top this season .

The splashing the cash is all good and well if we have it. ( Made minimum 1.6million on transfers last season) . If the club is using that for wages its fine. IF NOT another bout with the administrator is looming for sure
 
Atkinson I could understand and wasnt fussed about.

This one is a shock and a bigger loss.

Why would he choose Bury of all clubs? Does he relish playing in front of 3,000 supporters that much? Surely if he wanted out there would be better options.

Well his must be awful to play for if a player like Atkinson chooses to go play for Steve Evans who is renowned for being a complete dick to play for.
 
Hes had one decent season and is another who is replaceable!! But bury!!!! Had a great season didnt they! We will finish above them and thompson will be wondering if that extra £200 a week was worth it
 
 
Couldn't agree more - the news from most League 1 & 2 clubs is that they are making signings already & we have done nothing except moan about a lack of ambition from players who clearly felt that the club was messing them about.
 
Calm down people. Top of PB's shopping list is a commanding CB anyway. Someone who can offer a threat from our set pieces. Thommo had a good season but he was unlikely to be first choice next season, so lets see who we do sign before you all hit the panic button.
 
Wow....that one is a shocker. If I remember correctly wasn't he only offered a short contract here before when his shoulder was manked? Maybe that galls, mind you, wasn't it rumoured that he was another who'd had "words" with the boss not long ago?

Really surprised he would go to Bury.

If you really believe that losing Adam Thompson on a free is not a big deal then you are deluded.

How can you say that? He was first choice at the end of last season and was universally thought to be our most improved player who had come on leaps and bounds playing alongside experienced partners at CB!
 
No shock to me. I was told in March that AT and RL had said they didn't wish to stay even if we got promoted. At the time I hoped it was the rumour mill gone mad, how wrong was I.
