i can't help but think that freddy chose the wrong club to go too. i don't hate wolves but don't particular like them. really surprised fred chose to move up there when charlton for me are so much a better option for him. nevertheless i wish him all the best, just hope they don't ruin him.

The blokes got a fair point. Sure, some of the more mature on here entered into reasonable discussion but unfortunately those who have just grown their pubes (of which their is an ever increasing amount) degenerate into testosterone fueled bile and it is embarrasing. I couldn't be bothered if Eastwood went to Wolves or Charlton, just so long as one of the suckers as forked out the over in flated £2m we seem to have been hanging out for since Christmas when he decided he was too big for this club and couldn't give a sh*t if we were relegated or not. I can't beleive the God like status he still seems to have amongst many on here just because he did what he was being paid to do and that was score goals. If Wolves think they are buying a future God and can tell them now that this guy isn't worthy of walking in Steve Bulls shaddow as there was a player of international quilty who stuck with his team through thick and thin and even continued to play when they were relegated to the old 4th division when he could easily have demanded a big money move to a more successfull club. No the age of the Steve Bull type loyalty has long gone. Wolves you are buying a mercenary who will dump you the minute something bigger comes along as sure as he has dumped us. When the time comes for your sake, I just hope your manager has the balls to dump him a lot quicker than ours did.

I don't particularly like Wolves mainly because of their neandertal fans. I know not all of them are like that, but no-one has managed to explain to me why Wolves fans felt the need to come to Southend and smash the town up (when we were in Div one in the early nineties) and West Brom didn't.

At last a reality check.. Bothered about Wolves.. and to be honest bothered about Eastwood from now on.. I would find it mildly amusing if they got relegated..

No offence mate but nobody really cares in your view. Understand what you're trying to say but you've come across as a bit of a t*at here really.

Didn't really hate Wolves before- do now. Hope you go down. If Freddy has gotta cope with fans like you during his four year stay then he's gonna need all the luck he can get.

Ps- must have been horrible losing to you're fierce rivals in the play-off semi finals. And so comprehensively as well. Sorry about that.

I agree. While I'm sure we'll all keep an eye on Freddy's movements throughout his career, as we did with Stan, he's gone now and that's the end of it. As a club we should be concentrating on the season ahead and trying to replace him.

You prat. At least wolf1 came on here and engaged in debate, rather than coming on here giving it the big 'un.

And so what if people here expressed a mild preference for Charlton over Wolves? That's got a lot more to do with the fact that they're (a) southern, and (b) home to one of Southend's all-time heroes (Chris Powell), than any particular dislike of Wolves. Most people are indifferent to the Old Gold - as indeed you ought to be towards us (other than the fact that we've produced two of your brightest talents in Kightly and Eastwood - if anything, a bit of gratitude wouldn't have gone amiss for that).

Next you'll be telling us that Southend is only our little club and that we're all secretly Wolves fans...

Jog on, you condescending plum. It's fans like you that give clubs like Wolves a bad name.
