To be fair, I think CS J has a good point in as much as there are several allegations made here that aren't necessarily relevant and implications that may not even be true.

Added to that, presumably, this guy has no personal defence present, perhaps we should stick to the original post better.

So how do you defend abusing and threatening a young kid with a drum whos just there to support the same team? How do you support singing racist songs at opposing players? or throwing glasses at a landlord...could go on...

I am not bothered unduly about the chanting at the game. It was faintly amusing once but became tedious, but I ignored it. However, I witnessed the sexual assault in the Gloucester Arms and it was diabolical. I don't know if it was Ginger's son or Ginger or whoever. I don't know who these people are nor do I want to. The perpetrators of the assault where a middle aged, fat bearded bloke and his attendant dwarf. The police removed them but next time if I see the same behaviour I will be quite happy to "discuss" it with them.

Taken seriously or not, the intent was there and he woulda done had there not been 50 fans between the 2. All i'm saying is he's a constant source of embarrasment to the fans in general. This is geting drawn out and we're gonna have to agree to disagree, or maybe we're just missing each others points? Anyway on my behalf i'm putting this to bed.

i do not feel embarrassed by him or anyone like him. I dont necessarily agree with what they do but what they do is what they want to do. I do not think this public forum should be used to slate people (other than kevin maher) j.k

The content of the chanting may not be - I am sure thousands of Spanish supports claim chanting monkey noises at coloured players is part of the game - do you agree with this?

To me chanting rapist at a player (who is not one) is just as bad. If the guy has been going through a rape trial it has probably had untold stresses to himself and his family.

I'm winding you up. Of course the Spanish don't find it acceptable. However the Spanish mentality to rascism is about 20-30 years behind that in the UK when the likes of BBC and ITV were showing programmes featuring such rascist characters as Alf Garnett. I'm not defending the Spanish abuse "per se" but can understand why it happened ...

Alf Garnett was a satirical send up of the racist under belly of this country. Ironically a lot of racists took to Alf which always made me laugh when his character was created to show them up as the bigoted fools they are.

Anybody who felt that the programme was just a racist programme have misunderstood what the programme was trying to achieve.
