So whats the fuss all about then?

The entire first 45 minutes having him shouting Agogo is a rapist. It got pretty boring after 5 minutes!!
Well why didn’t you start a new song off then?

tounge.gif
No need. You were starting off the Southend ones!!

Who me, never!!!

Well you were until you started to lose your voice ...

Ha ha, well I tried! Too much cider and fags I think!

Is it that people were annoyed not with what was said but more the fact that it was said with incredible regularity?

It's like a joke - no matter how funny, if you keep hearing it the effect is lost.

BOB C - I only quoted the "moral right" bit to identify which side of the fence I sit rather than to imply you condoned the behaviour.

More crossed wires...

There must have been something innit for it to go all the way to court, thats all I'm saying...

The Birmingham Six went a lot further than that without there being anything "innit".

I too was in that section and must say I chuckled first time and then got quite annoyed by it. If it is ok for this kind of behaviour as most seem to be defending on here why did the Police ask him/them to stop it?

The same person also within two minutes of the start of the game was hanging off of the railings offering Bristol supports out for a fight and slitting his thumb across his throat and shouting rather personal abuse – this was in part returned by the Bristol supports so I do not wish to be singling out individuals or southend supports.

It has been said here it is part of the game accept it – why?

Why should this behaviour be accepted, these people are adults – is it ok to be out clearly for a fight, or is it as I expect as soon as outside all parties scurried off to the coach/home as quickly as possible? The segregation does seem to make people a lot braver than had they been stood next to each other.

The really sad fact is just behind the dead space between the two sets of fans were seated disabled supports one of which was accompanied by a young girl (approx 9 – 11 years old) who looked most upset and I am not sure when the left but it was before the end of the game. What kind of example was set to this girl? Is this one future football support that may never return?

Yes, is the answer to your question.

For the record I stood behind Bob C on Tuesday night and he was a model fan. All I heard him singing was "There's only one Kevin Maher" and "Go Tes Go !".

He was ****ed as a fart and a complete arse at the away fixture to Kiddie!
Having a go at Jack for using his drum, and singing about having a trumpet.
I dont doubt his loyalty towards the club but I do think anyone who wants to start fight's with a fellow supporter for using a drum is a bit of an idiot!
Jack should of wrapped his drum round his f**king head!!!!!!!
Same bloke who threw bottles at the landlord of the Spread Eagle (Terry) a couple of years back and then proceeded to pull down the big screen on his way out.

Same bloke who kicked apart a couple of tables in the Plough when Beckham scored THAT free-kick against Greece to put us in the World Cup Finals in Japan.

See at times, like at Upton Park, when half the support stayed behind and sang our hearts out for 10 minutes after the final whistle I feel so proud to be a Southend fan. Other times normally when this 'gingers son' is involved I feel ashamed to be associated in any way. I remember his behaviour from a few games and personally wish he would support West ham or Millwall as his behaviour suggests he should do.

perhaps instead of hounding him on this board, you could go and speak to his face. Surely this board is not for naming and shaming, although i do not condone the actions of the named individual i feel that if any of you put a foot wrong i should hope that you get named and shamed and hounded as well. Would you like it?

Yeah good idea! And when i'm released from hospital and got my false teeth I could go and approach him again?!
Plus its not like its unusual for him is it? More like a weekly event.

exactly, if you can't say it to his face then why come on here and do it...im sure people would agree with me, and as i said i do not condone the actions but this board cannot be used for this type of thing...

oh well, I at least seem to have sparked a debate which differs from the norm.

Some fair opinions either way by all accounts, though I suspect that anyone bar the moronic could not help but be a tad ashamed at what went on if that was for instance themselves viewing a video of themselves the following day (sober) doing what he did (if that makes sense). Couldn't imagine feeling too proud saying "Look son, that is me".

Ho hum.???

he can do what he wants, those who beg to differ, why do you take it up with him? i think this topic should now be locked as i feel people should not be allowed to hound people like this in a public forum...

Then why is this thread 6 pages long? Of course it can be used for this matter, its something related to Southend Utd FC so therefore of interest to this board no?

PS - How Ironic that the same Spawn of Ginger (allegedly at the forefront) was pictured in the Echo last night celebrating Gower's goal.
Anyone care to paste a copy of the Echo pic on SZ?

Just want to check I wasn't pictured shaking hands the alleged congratulating him on his articulate support and its part in our victory.

I've no idea who he is but to take it up with him really sounds like it will do no good for anyone whatsoever.

But, I do reckon it's relevant and clearly it's interesting.
