...which would still be better than any part of Luton any day of the week! Complete and utter hole.

There's one bit of North Luton that's still English with very nice roads, houses, and a clean area. A bit like the battle of the bulge tho as it's getting smaller each year. The rest of it is an absolute dump.

This is the summer transfer thread folks. The delights of Luton as a town can be researched elsewhere.

Ask yourself is it sonny Bradley moving to luton for a higher wage Or is it the greed Agent yet again touting a player about as many clubs as possable to line his pockets .I for one hate Agents in lower league football .They are not doing clubs and players any good .Its all well and good these fat cats earn a large amount of money from these high wage earners from the prem players worth millions .

Sunny Bradley is probably looking at all our world class centre halves--Ferdinand, Turner, White, Kyprianou and Keirnan--and thinking "will I even get a game here?"

Racist :winking: .

Lol, behave Simon. Due to my own personal experience when in Luton for a poker tournament at the casino years ago. My car got surrounded stuck in the Luton carnival traffic in broad daylight and suddenly my car is being rocked, men are banging on my windows and I'm being shouted at as being English this and that. Luckily the police were already there and dispersed them with truncheons at that time. So I'm not too keen on the place.

Its interesting that of the 4 clubs coming up and 3 down from the Championship only Coventry have started to bring in new players with 3 new entrants ( one undisclosed fee )
Peterborough as often are way off in front, lead the way with 6 coming in ( 3 undisclosed fees ) helped by the sale of De Silva Lopez to Wigan. They were closish last time out, will be interesting to see if successful this time, although success for them is much couched in finance achieved through buying and selling. One third of our league yet to make a move. Coventry join Rochdale with 3. Of the 28 players in total brought in so far only 7 cost anything, reaffirming that 75% are players on free transfers. Will we shortly move up this table having lead it?

Geographically Luton would be favourites. If he plays for Plymouth, then he only has to move 60 miles or so, and he is 45 minutes from Luton. To be 45 minutes from Southend he would have to move to Rayleigh. :omg:

Walk in most parts of Luton carrying an England flag. See how you get on.
I don’t think I have ever owned any type of flag so carrying one anywhere isn’t really my style. I have walked around a fair chunk of Luton though as I always get lost trying to find the ground! I’ve been to 70+ football grounds and they are usually in the area of town where housing is cheaper and therefore higher immigration. I’ve only ever felt under threat twice. If you had a bad experience in Luton it’s understandable that your opinion of the place is tarnished.
The two times I have felt threatened were in Swansea and Newport – and that was because I am English not Welsh.

I’ll carry on with a potted jaunt around the country – Accrington, Sunderland and Barnsley will be new grounds for me and I’ll take in the easy to get to Wimbledon, Luton, etc. Won’t be carry flags to any of them but I will feel safe.

Don’t know much about potential transfer targets but I am pleased CP has a chance to start afresh.
