Sorry, that's genuinely all I was told. If he gave me a name, he would ask me not to post it on here for obvious reasons anyway, until permission to do so. But as I said earlier this week to someone asking 'Where are the signings? I can tell you we are after a few players, which will be no surprise to most on here. Other clubs, the players demands and agents involved, it's not easy.

Many thanks TSNB. It is good to hear that CP is actively pursuing players. He strikes me a pretty decisive person, but, as you have indicated, CP is having to pursue his targets in a difficult environment.

Sunny Bradley is probably looking at all our world class centre halves--Ferdinand, Turner, White, Kyprianou and Keirnan--and thinking "will I even get a game here?"

On the other hand,he can’t fail to have noticed White’s “performance” at Plymouth,Good Friday.

only heard this information today as I work for one of the clubs sponsors don’t want to say the name because I was told not too just yet could be pie in the sky, but he wouldn’t make it up

I know you can't say the name, just interested as to whether you'd perceive it as a good signing.

In the past I used to be asked lots of times if I wanted something for the weekend, I never really understood what it meant unless the barber was potentially offering bulls eyes or liquorice sticks. When I could finally grow a beard as well, I used to think whatever inane chat he comes up with please dont ask me that!

It's normally because they have no idea and just make things up. As you say no reason for anyone not to say whether they think the player will be a good signing.

I hate it when people know and say too much. Then I worry that some other club may read the Zone and nick our target!

I don’t see even giving a name is a bad thing.. apart from being a breach of trust between friends/employers etc. The press give out names all the time, it doesn’t make the player have second thoughts about a club.
